Lightbulb Favorite Hood/Aftermarket Hood our right now?

Received a little ding in my hood not to long ago and finally took it in for an estimate at Ford along with a couple other repairs. (Replace Shaker 500 with a new one, and replace my tranny and shifter AGAIN...another story)

The estimate ended up being $1700 for the repair. In essence what they were going to do is buy a new hood and shoot it my car color. I figure if I'm going to spend that kind of money I might as well look at the options out there. I might even consider replacing my front clip as well.

So what's your favorite hood out there?

You can probably get a new hood from fordparts.com for little or nothing. A new GT500 hood is only $549....

It seems my shifter was bent somehow from my last tranny replacement, and it damaged this one after 2,000 miles.

Still looking for more hood options

That Cervinis one is kinda sexy. Probably too much hood if you havent done much else to the exterior of the car, but I like it on yours.

Do you have a picture of it, or a link to a picture? I haven't had any luck finding one yet. Thanks

I think the hood would look great on a blacked out car. Which is kinda what I ahve going. Plus, if I get the hood it'll give me an excuse to install my Flush Mounted Louvers.

Ooh, that saleen hood is sexy. Vented with no huge cowl or "nostrils" = - only other hood that meets my specific taste is the gt500 hood. How much does that saleen hood run?

The Saleen Extreme aluminum hood is $1500 from saleen...unpainted...

You can get a fiberglass version on ebay for around 800. Anybody got the fiberglass version? Does it rattle or lift at high speed?
