Street Scene Equipment is about to start work on billet decklid medallions for 2005+ Mustang, and I personally think they'd look better if they didn't have the hole for the key.

I would like to have the option to not have the keyhole OR the F O R D
everyone knows its a ford anyway!!!
but I would like it to have the recess for the keyhole to still fit in the backside of the cover ...just in case!

I hope they don't do the solid silver like the pic Brad posted. Looks much better with the black background.
Of course I prefer the '65 over the '66 look anyway. (I'm a little biased since I had a '65 for 15 years)

Whatever SSE does with the faux gas cap, I think they should make one without the hole for the trunk too. That way, you'd have the option. The one without the hole would look more like an actual gas cap. I have never used that key hole once. And by the looks of this poll, most haven't either. I would be willing to bet money that if SSE sold a faux gas cap with and one without the hole... the one without would outsell the one with.

Maybe its possible to make a badge with a small hinge so you could move it out of the way to acces the hole for the key. Though I don't know if it would be worth the added cost. My only concern would be that even for people who never use it, there may come a time when the remote doesn't work or they lose it, and i was to understand there was no access buttons inside the car.

That looks good, but the pony is facing the wrong way.

I grabbed it from Brad's archive. Looks like the pony has gone both ways
