Here are some pics of the Fang Performance ducktail on my '05. I still have some minor adjustments to make, but you get the idea.

 

That would be PERFECT if the endcaps weren't so bulky. Otherwise I like it a lot.
Thanks for the pics. Any more that aren't so close up? I might have to get used to the endcaps since this one is the closest to a real Shelby duct tail. I hate the way all the others have so much of a curve in the back.

I think the reason the others have alot of curve is, if you look at the back of the 05 mustang it has a lot of curve to it. So I think a lot of the companies are forming them to the actual bumper. Because that is the way my spoiler is done,that way it has a better range of surface to bond to.Myself I don't know,because I'm not the one who does the molding of the spoilers, But I have done some fiberglass work on my side window scoops and I don't envy them one bit,After doing my scoops I have a very high respect for Kip Keanen and the other companies that does this stuff for a living. I can promiss you that molding fiberglass is not easy.

 

Sorry, I ment not the bumper,but the trunk lid.

That's a great look compared to the others I've seen.
The usual questions;
Would it cover the factory spoiler holes?
How much did it cost (paint)? It's not on the Fang site.
Who did the install?
Tape or screws?
Do you have a rear view pic available?

It was designed to cover the factory holes, which is why it appealed to me. I took the pieces to a local ody shop and they final prepped/painted everything for $60. (I had expected more, but was pleasantly suprised.) I did the install myself in about 2 hours. The bulk of that was spent aligning the thing before final install. Although I could have used two-sided tape, I elected to bolt mine in. Two holes in the trunk lid and one each in the rear quarter panels.



I took this last night. Once I upload the rest of the daytime stuff, I'll try another look.

 

I don't think we're talking about the same curve. I'm refering to curving up as opposed to curving around and following the lines of the car.
What I like about the Fang spoiler is it goes almost straight up in the back like a real Shelby (or Califonia Special) spoiler.
If that's the same thing you were talking about then oh well, we just disagree.

That really looks good. And it covering the factory holes is a big time bonus. But as stated by AL1356, it is not listed anywhere on Fang's site. So, how much, and how to order?

 

No, its not listed (I'm not sure why) but they do have them available. I will have to check my invoice for the exact price or you can just give Terry a call at 260-343-9826.

 

Now I understand what you are taking about. My son has a model of 67 shelby and to me my spoiler looks alot like the spoiler on the model. But I could be wrong, anyway I still like it, this spoiler is nice too. I believe once we paint the car it will have a different look.

 

I see you replaced your kicker panel pieces on the side, Did you do that yourself, how hard was it? My stock one on my driver side has popped loose near the back and I wan to fix it myself.

 

Very easy. 5-10 minute job per side. Just pull along the upper part of the rockers until the clip pop out and turn the pieces down. Rockers will pop right off the lower fasteners. Reverse the process to install the new units.
