The fanblades make an amazing difference on the '05.

I suggest you lower the car, the lower profile tire tends to make the wheel gap look bigger.
Nah, I think it looks pretty good IMO. Its a muscle car, it doesn't need to be made into a BMW.

Here are a couple more angles that were requested. One shows how far the 255s stick out (or "don't" stick out), and the other is a front 3/4 from further back. I left the pics at actual size.

The wheel/tire combo has gotten a lot of positive comments so far. The funniest though was when I was at the local Ford dealer earlier tonight, and had a few thoroughly confused dealers checking them out.

RMac,

Do you know for sure what the ordering code might be for these wheels?

I have about 5 days to change my 2006 order.

I have heard conflicting reports as to whether they are the 64E or 64W wheels.

Thanks!!

They are the 64E's. I think there is still a lot of original misinformation floating around in unedited threads.

I can't really tell how wide those are in comparison, but does anyone have the default tire size info for the gt mustang? I have the same rims in the stock photo. Wonder if it is worth going up?
That's because the difference between these and the stock tires are very close! The stocks are: Radius 13.6" (new 13.5"), Diameter 27.2" (new 27.0"), but the side walls make it look alot better because stocks are 5.1" (new 4.5") Speed difference is only .5% so when your going 60mph, it's really 59.7mph

Dave...

BTW, the new setup does look nice

If he's just concerned about the width... the 255s are wider than the 235s, which really makes a big difference in handling (well, that and the fact that the new tires are MUCH better than the stock tires).

That at they look Waaaayy wider than the stocks. Not only because of the increase from 235 to 255 but because of the design of the tread. The Pirellis are basically passanger looking tires where the tread is very rounded at the edges.

The KDW's are a very square design that look Much wider. They'd look wider than the Pirellis even if both were 235.

Plus, that new tread design is so SWEET!
