Fading Stripes: Pictures Installed - Stripes still available!
Ok, so I've been toying with the idea of another run of these. I'm working with a new sign guy. He's giving me a new price and seems very competent. At this point, I'm just testing the waters, guys. Nothing in stone yet. I don't have a large cash flow, so I'm not sure if I'll have to collect money first, or if I'll be able to front the money. I think I'll be able to get these out to you guys for about $75 shipped. It may come in less than that, but that's what I'm going to quote you guys now to be safe. That's half the price of the only other ones that are available right now (and those are made for the GT/CS spot).
I'm going to make these the full length of the rocker this time. This way there will be plenty if you want to put it in the GT/CS spot instead. This will set them apart from the rare limited edition first run of DarkFire Fading Stripes
I lost my original PS files for the first design, so I'm not sure how the dimensions compare. I'll be going with a 4" tall stripe. The pin stripes will be 3/8" and the space between will be 1/4". I need a minimum of 5 of each design/color. So as before, I'm starting with a standard solid fade. If there's at least 5 people interested in a certain text, then we can do that, too. (pending approval from sign guy)
As far as colors, white and black will be the only 2 options at this time. Colors would only work on white cars and will cost about $10 more. If I get 5 people with white cars interested in the same color, then I'm happy to do that for you guys, too.
So here's an image of the proposed design. Let's hear your opinions! I'm also posting this on Mustang Forums.

How many people want what (Including the other board):
Black 8
White 4
Silver(white cars only!) 2

Thanks for asking! I knew I had another question to ask the sign guy and was sitting here trying to figure out what it was. I'll get right on that. My gut tells me no, though. :fingers crossed:

Checked with the sign guy. Matte/satin is not an option this time, either. I'm not sure how Ford does it. I've never been able to find anyone that can do it.
I updated the first post. I'm going to keep track of how many want what. I'm also going to work on some optional text, so if anyone has any ideas for text, let me know!

Yeah, I personally don't have the money to pay for licensing. Especially for such a small amount of stripes. I don't think changing to a similar font would help, either.
Maybe I don't get it but, GT-350 is NOT copyright infringment but Mach1 IS ??? How so?, Has anyone other than ford ever made a car designated GT-350? Not really a big deal, I have an alternate solution using aditionally purchased decals from Toxic Graphics, it would just cost me an extra $20 on top of what Darkfire would charge for basic black fading stripe. Please let me know what you can get...Thanks.

I don't think Ford owns the rights to GT350, but I'm not sure. Many people are using the GT350 without problems.
The stripe will be glossy, but it's going to be printed on clear vinyl. It'll look fine with your stripes. You have to get real close to tell the difference. Up close, these will look more painted on than standard vinyl.
