Randy:

I know this is off topic, but how did you mount the GTR headlight covers. I have them also, but not sure if I should use tape or velcro. I'm leaning towards velcro so I can take them off.

Sorry, HiRoller. You were asking how they were mounted. I don't know.

The front just isn't doing it me. Something is just not right. I think the lip is too thin. It doesn't look natural. I like the rear! The rear looks nice.

Lee, I know this is too, but that's OK...

I used 3M automotive tape... I thought about velcro, but was worried about it coming off... If you use the 3M tape, DON'T FORGET to use adhesive promoter on the parts of the light covers where you apply the tape...Good luck and post pics after you install them... I'd like to see how they look on your ride... By the way, your flames look awesome!

Here's a picture of the trunk lettering:
did mine a few months ago on the rear, inspired by this 68
the rear letters are pretty good looking, but the front is not spaced out right
visit this site for the proper placement of the front letters if you want

Greg... That's funny, because it was actually your car that inspired me!

As for the front letters not being historically spaced out properly, I realize that... To me that wasn't important... It's not like I'm trying to restore a 1967 Mustang... I just wanted something a little different... I tried alternate spacing, including what you referenced, but it just didn't work for me... I decided to keep the front FORD spacing the same as on the rear MUSTANG spacing... I figured this way I was at least consistent... I also would have prefered letters that were the same modern font like that done on our door sills, but I couldn't find any... I do appreciate your input! It's always nice to know there are some members who appreciate the historic aspects of the Mustang... Also, thanks for your inspiration!

LOL Randy, too funny, glade you like them, the rear end looks great, but the front for some reason is off to me, might be the straight line of the letters...but the most important is if you like it then thats all that counts

I love the trunk letters, can't stand the hood letters, then again the first thing I did to my '67 mustang when I bought it was swap to a '68 hood without the FORD letters, because I hated them there too

I want to place similar letterings on my V6, except that instead of the retro fonts, I want to use the same fonts as on the door sills:

I like the front and the back. Keeping the same spacing works nicely on the 05 version. It adds a subtle flair that I like!
