Credit to Peter1966 whose stripes inspired me and to Auto Lovers in Middletown, NY for a fanstastic install

I am getting ready to stripe my car and have been thinking about an off white. Are those white or a different shade of white? Please tell me the gap and width and they look like they taper.

The color is gloss white and they are tapered with a 2" gap maintained throughout:

Hood:

11 7/8" at cowl down to 9 1/2" at bottom of front bumper

Roof:

11 7/8" no taper (the curvature of the roof lends a natural taper effect)

Trunk:

11 6/8" at rear window down to 11" at end of trunk lid

Rear Bumper:

11" down to 10 1/4"

Post pics when you're done!

Yeah, they look really good. They almost look reflective, they are so glossy white. I bet they really pop when it gets darker. Nice choice.

Thanks Ian! Yeah they are really reflective. I found out something cool about them too which I wasn't expecting.. I was driving behind Ron(94tbird) and as he was watching my car in his rear view mirror he said when the sun hit my stripes just right that they inverted in an instant and became black.

That means a lot, thank you. I tell everyone I modelled my stripes after your car; which is :worship: :worship:

Very nice. I wouldn't have thought of white on MG, but it really looks great! Kind of a bummer, though, to spend the extra on a GT and end up with those license plates.

Thanks Jim! Yeah I wanted to be different. I saw most folks going with black so I went with white. I took a chance because I've never seen a Mineral Grey with white in person and got nervous while waiting during the install thinking hmmm, maybe there is a reason nobody has done this yet But it turned out alright. I'm very happy.

Yeah I guess those plates were a better fit on my '92 Legend coupe
