Where can I find some nice tips for the OEM mufflers. I like the look of Magnaflow's rolled tips. Anyone know a good place to buy something similar? Thanks

You can order the Ford one directly from Ford at your dealer. or you can order some from Kcstang, check one of the directories above, believe entitle the official TMS parts supplier, to get those ford ones.

for the magnaflow tips, most places like summit racing or jegs can order those.

you can also order the flowmaster tips as well from summit racing

ebay also has several tips on that site as well
www.summitracing.com
www.jegs.com

good luck

Sam

I put on the exhaust tips from Ford but as the tips look nice, you can also see those big honker of brackets on each side. I don't like that look at all. Either get them welded or get a axle back exhaust with the tips already there, especially since they cost 90+ bucks for the tips. Put it on the axle back....You will be happier.

Rene, those do look sweet. How do they compare in price to the standard 90+ ones from Ford?

I had the Ford tips and sold them for a loss (ebay) because of the big bracket on them. Go with the ones that Rene has and I think you will be much happier and they are cheaper.

I am sorry that will look stupid on your Ford Mustang GT. That is a disgrace if you put those on.

Those look great!

Two questions:

How much does it cost to get the tips welded on to the exhaust?

What is the difference between single walled and double walled exhaust tips? (and I am not looking for the witty answer of, "one wall" :nono

Heh heh. Had me going for a minute there. Happy April Fool's Day to you, too.

3.5" MRT tips ($45 each). Comes with clamps and seems to hold well enough that you don't need to weld on. Very pleased with the appearance so far.

I checked with Ninosport, a Magnaflow vendor, and was told that part number on the Magnaflow tips is for a 2.25" inlet. It doesn't appear to be the right size. Any further info?

BLT2RUN...those look great...I'm seriously considering those...how obvious are the clamps?? Can you shoot a photo a little lower so we can see??? They just slip over the existing tubes right and clamp??

I love the stock exhaust sound and at this point don't want to mess with replacing but love the rolled tips but I don't want it too look clunky either...yours looks pretty darn good!!

Thanks!

I just put a set of the MRT tips on my GT, i love em. I'm like you, i like the sound of the stock exhaust, but the stock tips are to small for the size of the cut outs. You can see the clamps, but if you angle them just right, they are hard to see.
