Have any of you looked at the spoiler from carbon creations, on the hot wheels car. Its the only one Ive seen that covers the holes and has a nice curve to it similar to the SS and CDC. The problem is, its made of carbon fiber and is much more expensive than any others. Not to mention Im not even sure you can get it with out buying the whole body kit, which is pretty bad, not in a good way either.

Well....

Since were talking about ducktails I thought I'd ask this. Ever since I got my CDC ducktail install it's been a royal pain to wash my car because the water sneaks between the cracks and pours out ever so slowly. So I have to drive my car around the block a couple of times so that I can properly dry the rear of the car. Maybe I'm just **** but that really pisses me off.

Fang performance also has an entire trunklid with an integrated ducktail and fender extensions, exactly like the GT350 and GT500 back in 67 and 68. Looks great, nothing like their seperate spoiler. Price is estimated at $850-$950 though. Unpainted.

Buy a can of air, the ones you use to clean keyboards with, and use that to blow the water out. Thats what I use after I wash my car

That's correct, but you can get bolts and screw it in if you want, the instructions tell how!

Cervins, No worries to fill in holes. It covers it, just plug them with waterproff leak proof materian.

The cdc ducktail covers the 3rd brake light?

Isn't that illegal?

They offer a replacement l.e.d., the coupe one goes on the top inside of the rear glass, the vert one sits on top of the trunk lid by the back of the top. You can see it on their site.

Most of the ones that I like (Cervinis, Street Scene) don't seem to come with a third brake light delete option. CDC seems to be the only one.

Fang said that they can make theirs without the light opening. The Mystery 7 may be the way to go. I like the way the side caps merge into the bumper rather than just stop and stick out a quarter inch from the body.

Thumbs up

I went with the 3D Carbon GT500 spoiler, pre-painted from Atlanta Mustang. Great service from them, they were able to get it to me with in the week so that I'd have it for a show last Saturday!

I can't vote on your pole. I have the CDC duck tail on mine and filled the holes. No regrets. I was actually tempted to just use a near flush plastic cap in the deck holes. I don't think it would look that bad and less cheesy than those aluminum truss brackets they came up with to hide them.

My biggest complaint with all the ducktails is that the endcaps all look like what they are: A piece of plastic glued onto the car. The seams and lips drive me nuts.

IMHO the Fang Mystery7 has the smoothest transition out there, but there has been limited information on thier cost, so I emailed them to find out pricing. Here is their reply:
John cost of trunk and end caps is $ 1049 plus shipping. They come unpainted. The trunk replaces the original and the end caps have provisions to be bolted on or you may tape or urethane them on.Shipping would be by truck and around $80-100.
If you brought your car here we could paint and install them. Thanks for your interest in Fang products.
Sincerely
Gary Long

Wow, 1150 and then another hundred and fifty to get it painted (or so), that puts that ducktail mod at around $1300. A little too rich for my blood.
