Ducktail spoiler
#2
I did a search the other day on ducktails and found quite a few good threads with pictures... and also some where the pictures got lost in the migration. Anyways, some good info if you do a bit of digging.
The result for me was to go with the CDC ducktail over the street scene. I got the impression from the posts that the fit and finish was a little better on the CDC. Plus the CDC is a little more subdued than the SS and also relocates the 3rd brake light which I found I liked the look of. There was another ducktail that looked nice but I can't remember the name of the company but the price was like double what the others cost so that one dropped out of the running quickly.

Depends on if you have the factory spoiler. I do, and I don't want to pay someone extra $$ to fill in the holes and repaint the lid. So I'm looking for a spoiler that will cover the holes. Mainly, the new 3d Carbon GT500 spoiler or the Roush spoiler. Leaning towards the Roush.........

Looking forward to see that one at the next local show

Just got back from a local car show, and there was plenty of Roush cars there- and one new Shelby GT500.
Before the show, I was really leaning towards the Roush spoiler- but not anymore. IMO, the new Shelby spoiler is awesome! Looks much better in person than in photos. That piece gets my vote!!!

I have the Street Scenes and like it over the CDC for the following reasons -
1) no drilling required to mount it
2) leaves the third brake light intact
3) the height of the spoiler is slightly more than the CDC
The Street Scenes pieces require a multi-step process to prepare them for painting. I was charged for 1.5 hours of prep time, but the guy who worked on mine is precise. Also, the parts have to be carefully aligned to ensure gaps are minimized. The guy who did mine described them as 'decent'.
The CDC is also a good piece. The fit is right on the money.
