Different clear front turn signal lens

Tried to post this a few minutes ago, for some reason it didn't work.

Just came across these today. Instead of having the clear or amber side marker lens in front of the bulb, these have an pattern etched into the reflector behind the bulb.

Same for the turnsignal...the entire reflector (housing) has an etched...sort of diamond cut pattern, much like the tail lights...,rather than the APC mostly smooth reflector. Not sure which is better, but for you all clear fans here it is. www.v6mustangstuff.com/05Lighting.htm

They have the clear/amber APC as well....scroll down for the "new" one

Mustangtunings clear lights are just like that, they are etched completely instead of smooth. Up close, they match great with the headlights. I just installed them not to long ago. They are a little pricey, but I've just got something against ordering off of ebay. Here's a couple pics of the whole car, I'll see if I can get some up close here shortly...

Thanks for the pics.., and the comment on the match to the headlights.

How does the side marker look w/out a reflector covering it day/night?? my concern is the it will look too "bulb like"

Also, do you get a strong reflection off the turn signal?? I would think it would be better than the smooth..??

By the way, great looking car.

oh, what bulbs did you go with??, and any install comments...thanks!

No problem at all. Install was a piece of cake, well, it's kind of a pain because you have to take the wheel off. After you take the wheel off, you have to take the wheel well lining off, which again, piece of cake, it's held on by these push pins that you barely turn with a phillips and then they pull right off. The lining pulls right out, it's all one piece. After that, you have a completely clear shot at the housings. Turn the bulb housings I believe a quarter of a turn to get them out of the housings. The housings are held in by a pin that you have to use needle nose pliers to squeeze together. After you squeeze the pin, it pulls right out from the side. Again, piece of a cake.

As far as reflection, it looks great to me at night and seems pretty bright, just as bright as before. I went with the stealth bulbs. Again, kinda pricey, but I wanted to do it right the first time. Everybody that has seen it says that it looks so much better than before, which I totally agree with.

Hope that answers your questions, if you have anymore, fire away!

Scott

I got the bulbs from Stealthauto.com actually, here's the direct link...

http://www.stealthauto.com/Store/Pro...roductid=SBCA2

The fit couldnt have been better. They were just as snug as the stock ones. I do remember reading about the looseness of some of them, but these were great, fit like a glove.

Shipping was great from Stealthauto, they shipped literally 20 minutes after ordering, but for some reason, they took like 5 days to get to me. Hell, my H-pipe from Brenspeed got here in 3!

I also just installed the mustangtuning/americanmuscle clear turns a few days ago. I have them on silver and bought some silverstar turn signals for about 11 bucks to stay DOT compliant. I will post pics this weekend.

I installed my clears awhile back and love them. They look SO much better than that out-of-place Amber one When you do this mod invest in the Stealth Bulbs too, it just completes the look. You don't want the egg-yoke look with an all-clear lens and a bright amber bulb.
A little install advice, you do NOT have to remove your wheel.
Here is my write-up on my install.

You're absolutely right, you don't have to remove it, it was just easier for me to see everything.

One question though, did pre 07's have amber bulbs? My 07 actually had clear bulbs already. I read on here about the "egg yolk" effect and I of course didnt want that, so I ordered the stealth bulbs. After getting the bulbs out during the initial install, I was pretty shocked to see that the bulbs where in fact already clear, but they also put out a white light, not amber.

I thought well hell, I'll just cancel my order, but I'm glad I didn't, the light it puts out is kind of a "dirty" light compared to the headlights if that makes sense. It seemed much more yellow, like a regular light bulb, so it looked pretty bad at night when on at the same time as the head lights. During the day it was great, but I thought it was pretty bad looking at night and would rather have the amber then, so I put the stealth bulbs in.

By the way, great write up!

Dave,

Those might have some promise, the dark housing ones actually "could" look good - I'd love to see pictures of them mounted in a car or two...the wonders of eBay posters never ceases to amaze me...

I hope to have mine installed this weekend. They have a clear lens, flat black housing with no amber.

Great look on those Mustangs, guys!!!

I am one paycheck away from oredring clear signals and the stealth bulbs myself.

I have been looking for clear/white reflectors/lights for the side of the rear bumper. I saw them once online a few months back, but lately I've done searches and have had no luck.

Anyone have them or know who sells them?
