Shiny hood reflection...

For those wondering, I washed the car with Dawn from top to bottom, then used Mother's Clay Bar kit, then washed it again with Dawn, then Mother's Sealer and Glaze applied with my variable speed drill and the Mother's Power Ball, removed by hand with microfiber towels, followed by Mother's Syn Wax in the same manner. I think the results are pretty good. All these pictures were taken at dusk so some of them are a bit grainy.
New painted mirrors:

New Ford Racing "Bullitt" style strut tower brace powdercoated to match my cam covers and other stuff:

Clearance of the brace with the intake cover:

New MRT hood struts: (will be getting the brackets coated soon)

And finally new hood blanket (liner) for strut brace clearance:

You really should not use Dawn on the car. I know why you did it but it really is not needed and it pulls to many oils out of the paint. If you buy a car specific soap that removes wax that is much better for the car.

used sparingly, dawn isnt bad, it takes off the wax, but he clayed it and then rewaxed, so it's fine. I use it in the same method to do a complete detail, Id rather use a regular household product that I already have than to buy something, like the soap you mentioned, that I'll only use once or twice per year

Did you polish your valve covers?
