Deep Dish Bullitt Wheels...

I'm thinking of picking up some Bullitt wheels for my 2005 GT...

I love the look of the deep dish set and I'm thinking of solely putting the deep dish wheels on the back and the regular Bullitts up front...

Does anyone have any pictures of their Mustangs with that setup?

Pros? Cons?

Thanks!

Pro. Looks. Simple enough

Cons. Big brake kit not possible without some work(i.e spacers). Only problem I have with my rims.

I run 18's staggered 9's w/255/45's(34mm offset) in the front,10's 295/45's(45mm offset) on the rear.I have no clearance or tire rubbing issues up front.I run the stock brakes and they work fine since I don't road race or ride them. The spokes just clear the calipers, they are very tight but just enough clearance. You really didn't say what size your running though...17's through 20's?The stock 18 and 17's are regular bullitts to me.

The only thing I dont like is that I'm running a +24mm offset on front, so it sticks out just enough to spray the whole side of the car if I run through a small puddle or something, Idk if they make a corrected offset for the front though, it's been awhile since I got these and have looked

Have fun finding 18x9 fronts non-DD. The geniuses at AmericanMuscle, fmrly Mustang Tuning, no longer carry non DD 18in Bullits. They're out there, pretty hard to find though.

Sorry I haven't even been around to reply back to my own thread...

So busy with school and work...It sux.

Anyways...Those are some beautiful Mustangs and some great looking wheels...

I'm definitely thinking of picking up some 18s as I find they look better all around than the set of stock 17s I currently have on my GT...

Now that I've seen deep dish wheels all around as well I do kinda like it but I still think deep dish wheels in the back alone while having regular Bullitts up front seems more reminiscent of older muscle cars...

I'm not sure about the sizing however...

If I'm looking to put deep dish Bullitts in the back and regular Bullitts up front what kind of wheel sizes should I be looking at and where can I find them?

Thanks!

No way!

What would compel them to take those off their line?!

Those are exactly what I was thinking of...

Stockers on the front on mine. Matching Priellis on the back on the 18-inch DD.
I believe this was posted /discussed a long time ago...

Ford sells a regular black 17" bullitt from their accessories cataloge for the 05' + Mustangs. You could run a DD on the back, the offset on an 18x9 is 34mm and the 18x10 is a 45mm.Check with American Muscle for DD wheels.they carry a nice selection.

anyone have a link to the thread that mikeelia is talking about? I am not coming up with anything really using Search.

I am interested in keeping the front stock bullits, and hitting the rear with some dd's.

Reviving an old thread.

My B-Day will be coming up in less than two weeks and that's when I plan on buying a new set of wheels & tires for the GT. I know Americanmuscle.com no longer sells regular black bullitt wheels so I'm looking to find someone who does.

I did find that AFS Wheels, they make JedCranium's black chrome wheels, has regular 18x9 wheels available for purchase here.

AFS Black Bullitt Wheels

Do you think I could pair up a set of two AFS black bullitts up front and a set of two American Muscle deep dish bullitts in the rear?

I've never seen either set, I'm curious to know if they would be a perfect match since I can't find any others.

Any suggestions?!

Let me get this straight. You are running stock 17 inch front wheels and deep dish 18's on the rear? What size tire on the front and rear?

I've owned both styles and they are not a perfect match to each other. They are close enough for most people, but you can definitely see they are not the same style even from a distance (as long as it's pointed out to you). Most people would certainly not notice it when you are on the streets. Also, the finish is the same.

The primary differences are that the AmercianMuscle wheels have thicker, more angular looking spokes and a more streamlined step design where they transition to the polished outer lip. The tops of the spokes nearly have a ridge or peaked look look to them.

The AFS wheels have an extra, kind of overly complicated step where they make the transition from the spokes to the lip, and they have skinny, thinner looking spokes with a softer looking profile with no real peak to the top surface..

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect answer. Thank you very much for the description. That difference is something that'll be deterring me from that setup.

With that said. Is it possible to have a staggered stance with black bullitts anymore? Is Americanmuscle.com the only retailer that's ever had both?
