CS bumper with a splitter, will it work?

Ok, question to those smarter than I am (which is a whole bunch of you). I saw the Custom Splitter that H&R Springs did on the JDM mustang with the California Special bumper, and I called them as well as the company that did it. Cost? $1,300. I don't think so.

So I remember someone took the GT500 splitter and modified it to fit the GT bumper. Would the GT500 or the Cervini GT splitter work with the Califronia Special front bumper?

What do you guys think? I think we need measurements of the CS bumper's opening vs. the GT opening to see if the Cervinis' would work.

Pictures 1 and 2 are the opening, picture 3 is the splitter I'm talking about, pics 4 and 5 are the splitter that we could use if it works???

Let me know your thoughts.

Well, not a ton of write ups, but my question was more towards the cervinis splitter. I agree that the GT500 splitter doesn't really compliment it, and the shape follows too much the GT500's shape, as it should. So my question goes out again, can we do Cervinis' splitter with the CS front bumper?

I wouldn't do it. The GT/California Special front fascia kind of has a splitter built into the lower fascia. Adding another one would be overkill, in my opinion.

IMO I don't think it would complement the GT/CS front facia.

Do you think this one is overkill? I think it looks nice...

Looks decent. Its enemy will be steep driveways and parking curbs.

One thing, on the GT/CS the black part in the middle of the front bumper is raised up from the side pieces. Even if you could add the gt500 splitter, it would not fit flush on that part of the GT/CS bumper without modifications, which probably explains why H&R's custom work cost over a 1k since they had to have it molded in.....

I guess it will be ok for the week or so until it gets smashed No way the cervinis one fits though, don't see how the others would either.

I would much rather have the splitter scrape than the bumper...
