got the car back from the shop today! the hood came out a slightly different color black and its not a perfect paint job. looks great none the less. im just kind of annoyed... but also in love with it.

it still deperately needs a chin spoiler... and shelby hood pins and hood grille are in route for delivery.

... and stripes? should i even stripe it? silver? gold? tungsten?

and if so, how much does it cost to get stripes installed?

comments? concerns? compliments? hehe

Nice Nick! Stripes all the way. Gold or Silver would look awsome. I am definately going Silver on mine, just saving a bit more as I am going to have them painted and be done with it.

 

Tungsten would look good, but I'm kinda partial to the color myself. Man I want one of those hoods.

 

Stripes will definately pop the shape of the hood more. I have one on order, may i ask how long it took them to get it to you?

I think alloy stripes would look awesome and be a little different than what's already been done....like silver and gold.

I'd say gold. I'd also say get a CDC chin spoiler painted to match to finish the look.

+1, install the stripes yourself and save some cash for more mods.
A GOOD stripe paint job done right will be more in the $2,000 range.

 

I'd say: Gold Stripes and Hoodpins, if you want the GT-H look, silver if you want to do something individual... that hood rocks !

i went up to steeda today to try and get the cdc chin. i had a guy waiting for me to sell it right as they were closing but i hit some traffic on the way and was like 10 minutes too late and he wouldnt wait anymore. oh well, theres always tomorrow... when i got home the hood pins and hood grille had arrived via ups so that was nice. cant wait to put them on. i should probably postpone putting on the grille until it is striped...

 

Looks great! Stripe it baby! If you go silver I actually have a set of BSM stripes in the for sale section. I've decided not to stripe, but your new hood begs for them! BTW-If you're not 100% satisfied with the paint, have it fixed! Imperfections can often be nibbed out without much effort. The color variance is another story...but if they took your money they should make it perfect!

 

dont do gold, do either silver or white. the gold will make it look like a gt-h
