I like the look of the dash pony, but I'd be concerned about what might happen upon airbag deployment... I'd hate for it to get lodged into someone's eyesocket of face... that's what's kept me from doing the same thing.

I was concerned about that too. I was told it wouldn't be a problem due to the fact that the bag comes out of the center of the two sections. The way it was described to me almost like the bottom half hindges down (if you know what I mean).

At Supersonic speeds...

Cathy just be careful, Just to let you know I have seen airbags that have been deployed for disposal (the following is not an authorized procedure) and when placed face down they can be propelled up to 70 feet in the air-rapidly. Remember those doors have to get out of the way-fast!!

Hmmmm.......as much as I like the way it looks......maybe it's not the best idea to have the pony there. It's only put on with 3m tape. Maybe I should take it off.

The bullits are 17x9 and I got them from Mustang Tuning. The emblem I got from T-N-T Mustang Connection. They have two different glove box emblems. One is flat and one is curved. This is the flat one. Part#C5ZB-65060A14-A. It had pins on the back but my husband just used a dremel to remove them.

Verrry cool

Did you paint the calipers yourself? Or did you have someone do it for you?

And if you did it yourself what kind of paint would you recommend using?

That's why I went with a decal on mine Glove Box Pony

Very nice mods Cathy. I think some of the easiest mods to do can turn out being some of the nicest looking as well.

Thanks Sean, that's a great decal too and a possible solution to the problem. Where did you get it?

Jamie, I painted them myself. My husband removed the wheels, brake pads and disks and I painted my little heart out . We used a kit made by Dupli-Color in red. The kit is great. It comes with a caliper cleaner, masking tape, brush (although do yourself a favor and pick up a paint brush set at the local craft store, the paint brush was not the best) stick to stir the paint, and a can of paint plus instructions. It really couldn't be easier. I got the kit at our local Auto Zone but you can also purchase it online.

It works exactly the same. No problems at all!
