Confirmation on the CDC DT spoiler brake light?
I know we have talked about this a lot, but I haven't seen anything definite on whether the CDC DT spoiler will have an optional brake light in the spoiler itself or if it's going to be a seperate deal that mounts inside the rear window.
I emailed them 2 days ago to find out, but haven't heard anything back yet. Unusual because they normally respond to emails pretty fast.

I haven't heard anything definate, and I've been chatting with them too. I definately DON'T want it in or attached to the spoiler. I'm just curious, why do you want it in so bad? Looks??? Don't like the view in the rear window???
I just think it would look more "natural" in the spoiler. More like it belonged there. Factory looking.
Here's the email CDC just sent me:
Thank you for interest in CDC!
The light will be mounted in the package tray. I am working on getting some picture together as soon as I have them I will email them to you. Any questions please let me know.
Thank you

I'll be going with the Street Scene spoiler when it gets released.

Sorry for the confusion - but why would you want another 3rd brake light......does the CDC spoiler cover the existing 3rd brake light?

Street Scene will be the back-up for me, but I like the shape of the CDC spoiler better (from the photos I have).
The SS spoiler was my back-up also. Now it's my primary. I agree the CDC spoiler looks a lot better, but I think those were photochops. I'm hoping to see some better pics once it's released. If it looks as bad as the current pics, I may have to remain spoilerless.

OK ladies and gentlemen. I spoke via telephone today with Marnie and here's the scoop. The spoiler WILL NOT be available with a cutout for the 3rd light. The spoiler only covers the trunk lid and and side areas and does not go beyond that. Somehow I was thinking that it went all the way down between the tail lights. The with or without pony emblems is referring to the badge on the right hand corner of the spoiler. If you want a 3rd light they will sell you one for an extra $45 for you to figure out where and how to mount inside the rear window.
I talked the California Highway Patrol and asked if the 3rd light was a legal requirement. YES! If your car was manufactured with that light, which all new cars are, the it is required and you would be ticketed for not having it.
Well it's time to rethink my getting a CDC spoiler.

The picture of the Street Scene Duck tail on the Red 05 Stang is a real one. It is not a photo shop. This tail was black as its made from urethane so the only photo shop work was to the color of it. It is a photo of a real duck tail, just colorized. It will be available next week. You will need to fill in your truck lid holes if you have a factory spoiler as it wont cover the holes..
