They've been outlawed in all 50 states!! No longer available, those that have put them on are being made to take them off!!!! DOT is cracking down on stuff like this, no more modding is legal...........

I have already posted on this previously as well. Oklahoma Dept of Public Safety Statutes State "the corner turn signals shall be Amber, White or any shade between Amber and White."
Has anyone EVER been pulled over for this anyway ?

Mine are due on Friday, I will post a Write-Up on the install when I do them, but they are pretty straight forward.

When I had my red 2000 V6 I had clear headlights and amber bulbs and when I visited the police station I asked and they said as long as it has amber lights it was ok

NP - that's why I love the forum over all others, we can have a good time and not take each other tooooo sirius - another joke - .

And, the first post was kind of funny, as there's a new thread that was just 2 or 3 post down, offering lenses for a very good price. Oh yea, I have clears and LOVE them. They are my favorite mod....

Turn the wheels so that you have easier access to the wheel well liners. You will need to remove several metal and plastic screws to get the liners out. You will then have access to the factory amber lenses which are fastened with a plastic pinch clip on one end and a tab that fits in a slot on the other end. Squeeze the pinch clip to get that end out first then the other end should just pull/slide out. You may want to remove the lenses before you take your bulb housings out as the housings are very tight and were easier to get out once the lenses were out. Replace your bulbs with Stealth Amber then twist the housings into the new clear lenses. Put the tab side of the new clear lens in first (very tight fit and willl snap in) then snap it in on the other end over the pinch clip and make sure the clip expands to hold the lens down tight. Put your wheel well liners back in and repeat on the other side.

Where did you guys get your corners. I have mine on order @ Muscle Car Direct. But they are on back order. I guess they are comming back out with a new style that is mostly clear/chrome but will have a small amber reflector. Most likly on the out side corner. It would be cool if Someone had a all black corner lights like on my truck.

I think they want to see Amber reflectors, not for sure exactly why. All states seem to have different rules regulating this. I am not for sure about NY, but try the DOT or DPS sites. We are lucky in Oklahoma, they can be amber, white or any shade between amber and white.
Never heard of anyone getting pulled over for this.

Got mine on last night after the box came from Jeg's. They even sent a hat and some stickers! Nice! I posted pictures today. See this thread:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=43240

They look awesome. Not sure about the Illinois statutes, but I've driven past a lot of cops today and they don't seem to pay any notice. I'm sure they'd have to be pretty bored to ding me for it anyway. I figure if I ever do get any s*** for it, I'll just find a piece of amber reflective tape to stick on the rear end of it. That should be sufficient. Good luck.
