Here's the deal. I emailed this company for availbility of the rear lenses and they wanted me to send pics and dimensions of our lenses. $65 isn't bad at all. Here was the response:
Hi there.
Im a bit concerned that we will invest with these and then another company
will come out with them. Our prices are a bit more then companies who do
injection molding since we deal with smaller runs.
We are also very busy so we would need to hold on to a set of oem lenses for
a while. Also if you guys want us to produce a housing also, we would need
2 sets. It would probably take a month or 2 until we had a sample to show.
The oem sets would probably not be very good to anyone after we are done
with them.
If we got 5 ppl to commit to a small down payment, we could start producting
them. This would also allow us to give you guys a group buy discount.
If we got the 5 ppl, the price would be 40$ for the lenses only. and 25$ for
the housing. so a total of 65$ for a set installed on a white housing. for
an extra 5$ we can paint the housing silver or black. or we can simply leave
them unatached if someone wants to paint them another color.
If you think ppl will be intersted i can setup a page and start taking down
payments.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Tina
I will eat the cost of both pairs of test lenses and have them shipped to her. CAN I GET AT LEAST 5 PEOPLE TO COMMIT TO BUYING THESE LENSES??

Does anyone live near Quebec that could ship them to her? I'm just trying to save on the shipping. I'll gladly send a money order to cover the cost of the lenses. It would be easier for a Canadian TMS'er to get them from dealership up there than for me to have Kevin ship them to me and in turn ship them to Canada. I will if I have to though

HHmm... sounds really tempting, but those pieces are so small that I can't justify spending $65 (for a group price) to buy the rear clear side marker when for the front clear side markers (pieces that are much larger than the rear) I spent less than $60...
I think I might just wait until someone else comes out with them... it's bound to happen sooner or later...

I paid $60 for my front lenses as well, but that was a long time ago. If there's no interest in this price range, I'll drop it. For every 5 pairs the price will drop.

Would you need to use a Red Bulb, not sure if it would be a legal issue having it a clear bulb, or amber.
Anyways, mine blend with the car and looks sharp. (Redfire).
I would not

The law doesn't specify about the side marker I don't think... Yo Lee, I think I might just wait until (just like the front lenses) they sell for a more reasonable price. Besides, if I do the paint job I want on that car, I will have to tint the lenses, and I think I might just keep the red ones... if price was lower, I would've bought the clears in the meantime

I'm in!!! I think those that wait will be soooory, just like the fronts..........
It's funny 80% of the other cars that I look at driving down the road do not even have rear side markers, red/white.../or even blue.

Great! Looks like we have our 5 people!! The web address is below. The latest I heard was about 1-2 months for the initial run of lenses to be completed. If this is OK, go ahead to the web page. I would probably wait on the down payment until we have a couple more people to ensure no one is backing out and we definately have the 5 we need.

There is a 5 dollar option to color the housing or tint. Will these lenses turn out looking similar to the corner bumper lenses like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...spagenameZWDVW ? I'm assuming that the linked lenses have white housing with chrome interior? i have the corner bumper lenses already from revo-tech and i would like them to match the side marker lenses.
thanks
thanks
