For chrome bumpers, the body really needs to be designed for it. Those just look like what they are, chrome painted plastic. The S197 looks good with chrome trim lines, like on the parnelli jones boss car, where it has a chrome outline around the edge of the grille and in the rear.

Those happen to be Foose designed. For the most part, Foose's designs are not my cup of tea.

I don't think I'll ever understand this peacock-like facination with shiny things, this reflexive urge to dip about every stray piece of trim and body hardware in a chrome tank.

With all the available finishes, materials and surface effects available as a palette to customize a car, why the tried, trite and oh-so-tired recourse to one -- chrome -- that reveals a lack of imagination more than anything else.

The Foose ones are very tasteful. I'd even think of getting those... well, maybe.

Funny, I was just thinking the other day what a new mustang would look like with some kind of chrome bumper.

Now I know that they look horrible with them!

For some reason it reminds me of the blue tape they put on to ship from the factory..It looks like they forgot to take the shipping tape off..
Regardless..No thank you. I'll pass on those, but I do love my bling, just not on my bumpers..

I am going to have to agree with the majority, not a good look at all, no matter what color mustang.
