Looking to get one of the aftermarket grille inserts for my V6. But need a little help deciding which to get. Obviously opinions from people with first-hand experience would be greatly appreciated, but I'm looking to get everyone's opinions (regardless of personal experience).

So I've narrowed the selection down to 2. Street Scene Black Chrome Grille Insert, and the GrillCraft Sport Grille Insert.

Which do you guys and gals think is the better choice? Obviously, I'm looking for a well-made product, that looks nice at the same time. I've heard the Street Scene insert is a little bit flimsy. Both look fairly easy to install (judging from the instructions posted on the above websites).

Thanks!

I agree. Both don't look right for some reason. But of the two, I like the SSE better, eventhough it resembles the stock grille.

I think the SS is a better looking one, I also dont particularly care for either. What about using the 06 Pony package fog lams pony/corral ?? I tink it looks very nice.

I can make you a deal on the upper v6 overlay ready to go. I was told it fit a GT and guess what..... not!

Of the people who said they don't like either one ... Do you have an alternative that you prefer? Or are you suggesting sticking with the stock one?

Those like cheap. I think the billit ones would like better. Check out Mustang Tuning. They had a few.

Cant say that either of them would be my choice. But it is not our choice, so do what you think looks good. Personally I am going to be getting the grill from Cervinis as soon as the tax return gets here. Just the upper grill I might add because I dont want the whole new facia.

I definately vote for the Cervinis horizontal billet with the tri-bar pony emblem off to the side that's sweet!

Wow. I hadn't seen that one before. Thanks for posting the picture.

I agree, too. It looks very nice. Now I've got a third choice. Only problem is, the Cervinis grille looks to be significantly more expensive than the others. Hmmm ...

One other question. Looks like the only place to buy one of those Cervinis grilles is on cervinis.com. No other online retailer has them?

The Cervini's is for a GT fascia. The V6 grill's mounting tabs are not in the same location as the GT. You didn't read my post or look at the attachment did you.

I did read it. And I appreciate the offer. I'll have to think about it, though. I'm still not fully decided on which style I want yet. But I'll definitely keep your offer in mind.

I am pretty sure that the Cervinis is actually a whole new grill. It is not an overlay which will make it more expensive, and its not made of Gutter Guard, which in my opinion is what the SSE grill looks like.

So far in my search, their website is the only place that I have found it. I aslo called them about a week or so ago and asked if it would fit the STOCK facia of a V6 Mustang and they said yes. Maybe I will call later today and ask again just to be sure. I will keep you posted.

Okay, just got off the phone with a guy named Nick at Cervinis. He said that it will fit a stock V6 facia, that you just take the old one out and bolt this one right in. Soon as I get my tax return check and get the grill, I will post some pics.

I am looking to replace my stock V6 lower grill with something that blends well with the stock upper 2006 Pony Package grill.

I would go for the the Street Scene, one for simplicity of installation (no drilling, no screwing - I, for one, would not want to put new holes in my car just yet), and two, looks good.

Post pics.
