Chin spoilers and lowered Mustangs

Hello, I was wondering how many of you out there have lowered their Mustangs and put chin spoilers on. I will be getting my baby back from the shop with the Fang Mystery 7 kit and a CDC classic chin spoiler. I have noticed, which I should have before, that a lot of people who have chin spoilers have not lowered their cars or have put on springs that don't lower the car as much as others. I have the Steeda's and I'm concerned that I may have made, shall we say, a boo-boo. Does anybody out there have Steeda's and a chin spoiler? I believe I have the "sport" spring model and I noticed on Steeda's site that they basically state that all their models lower the car the same. (1 inch for the front, 1-1/4 inch for the rear). I understand I will need to be more carfull, but has anyone seen any clearence issues on level pavement(like it's already scraping on a flat surface from being to low)

I have the Steeda Ultralites and CDC Classic chin spoiler. I've had them on the car for 7-9 months and have only scraped the bottom of the chin spoiler a couple times. Either way it was only the bottom/underside of the spoiler and it's only noticeable if you get under the car. Just be careful when approaching steep driveways or dips and you'll be all right.

I just put on the Fang Performance V6 Chin Spoiler last week and already scratched it a couple of times... And my car's suspension and wheels are (right now) bone stock... As Leo said, you gotta be careful with driveways and dips...

Wow you must have some steep driveways where you live if your scraping with the stock suspension. My scrapes have come only on really steep driveways or when I went up or down them a little to fast.

I'm still thinking about getting the legend splitter, but its a bit expensive for a piece of black plastic

I have the FRPP handling pack on my GT convertible along with the CDC Classic chin spoiler. It is low but if you are careful, I don't think it will be a major problem unless you have some extremely unusual terrain to navigate.

Definately do not park too close to parking curbs.

That is exaclty why I only lowered the rear, if I lowered the front my spolier would be smashed in a week! lol

This is the reason as to why I still haven't installed my fang chin spoiler. Driveways in NYC suck!

I have the CDC Classic and It scrapes all the time. I have to back up into parking spaces to avoid scraping it on the curb. It scrapes when going over speed bumps and when I go in and out of my friends driveway.

That's why I haven't lowered mine either.

I have my car lowered on Steeda Ultralites and have the flat black CDC chin spoiler and I've only managed to bump it once not paying attention to a steep driveway exit. Other then that its just a matter of climbing inclines at a slight angle and watching for those pesky curbs and roadkill(lol).

I have the CDC and Roush rear springs and only have to watch parking blocks in parking lots, but who parks in a parking lot anyway?

I have the FRPP kit and CDC classic and have not hit anything but it is a little low.

Well I was really thinking of putting on a 3dcarbon spiler or cdc V6 chin, I went to MRT and the 6T6 cherry was there, in all her glory and 20" foose rims, the cdc was about 1/2 from the ground and had some road rash already. I have mine lowered about 1.3 in the fron and 17's on the car, no way could I do a spoiler....

what do you guys thing is better, the ultralites or the FRPP handaling pack, i do not want to lower the car to much but i also want to keep the rake

Prolly the Ultralites. The backend stays alittle higher. Just not 4x4 stance.

I had Eibachs in my 05 with the CDC classic and currently have Saleen suspension kit with CDC classic on the 06.

Watch out for dips entering/leaving parking lots....

Other than that, just back in when you are parking - easy - problem solved.

I got the CDC Aggressive chin spoiler. It's actually at a local machine shop as we speak getting. They're making a program on their machine that will make a alum. protective tip that will screw to the underside of the spoiler. And their making a custom grill insert to fill the huge air intake that the Agressive makes. I allready replaced a condenser because of lack of protection from road debris. I'll get the insert and spoiler back Friday, but it'll be 6 weeks before I get the "boot-tip" back.
