Chin spoiler
#1
Hi guys. I'm thinking of getting a chin spoiler and pretty much decided to go with CDC classic but I'm still wondering how it would look on a Sonic Blue without stripes???
Any comment or opinion welcome. Of course, pics would definetly help.
Thanks

Mine is on order, should be here this week. I debated over CDC vs. others. CDC's just looked right-on to me. Do a search, you will find plenty of pix's in all colors. And I know I've seen a SB one on someones car?
As far as stripes, I really want stripes but the cost of painting them on is holding me up. I do not want vinyl, so I'm gonna try to save up the cash. So I decided to put the spoiler on now, and if I add stripes later just get it repainted. But unless I hit the lotto soon, I really think that stripes are not in my near future plans

CDC Classic (Chin Spoiler IMO) is the best looking chin spoiler out there! It looks great on any color GT, with or without stripes... It's a great quality and fit product... Super easy to install.... To see what it looks like on your color, go to the following website, choose your car's color, click on front facia, then scroll over to CDC Classic and click on it....

I ordered the CDC classic one today. I thought painted meant painted my body color, but thats not the case. Painted means matte black.
Any thoughts on what a black will look like on my car with stripes or should I just pay the $$ and take it to my painter and get it painted Tungsten with my stripes. Ponybuilder.com only shows it body color.
Does anyone have a pic of a car with stripes and a black chin spoiler?

I'm planning on getting the CDC agressive spoiler in black. The only thing I don't like about it is the whole cutting into the bumper part! But the way I see it, I cut a hole in the hood, what's a little more? So far CDC is the best I've found, not to mention they have great customer service. Just my .02

here are some pics of the CDC classic chin spoiler on forum member don_w's sonic blue car. He painted his body color. I am not sure if I would go body color or black in my case

I just picked up my CDC Classic from the body shop, doing the whole Zanio thing on the car before I install the spoiler. I got a great deal ($217 total) from partshopper.com and they did not charge me shipping. Will post pix in a seperate thread......

Donna, I definitely recommend having your chin spoiler painted with the stripes to match your car. If you have stripes, you should continue them on the chin spoiler. It's definitely going to look odd if you don't. That is, if you trust my artistic vision...

Cool. I just talked to my painter and he said it would be no problem to paint it with my stripes. The matte black can act as a primer.
Randy, yours looks like it was made on the car!! Very nice!!

Yeah, all he'll have to do is rough up the surface of the matte black so that the new paint sticks to it.
The only way (IMO) that a black chin spoiler looks good on a non-black car is if you do what I did and paint your rocker panels and rear lower fascia black as well.
