Question Cheap place to buy Ford Racing Parts ....

Any recommendations???
Anyone know about Joe Heck Racing?

Looking to purchase several parts the next two weeks.
Wheels & Tires going on my Cobra replica.
Finally decided on stock GT500 wheels since I want to get the brembo
brake upgrade afterwards.

My car will look just like the prototype GT500 that was being tested. !!
Just like the pics below.

This is the place a few of us mustang source guys have used. It's a ford racing parts dealer in minnesota. I'll pm ya the number. I've ordered the FRPP lowering springs from them at a really good price.

Over the years I have been continually impressed with Summit Racing's prices for Ford Racing parts. Once shipping is considered anyway.

Avoid Tommie Vaughn

I'd thought about using Tommy Vaughan as they are fairly close to where I live. What kinds of probs with them are there?

Absolutely zero customer service. This from a person that did business there for over 20 years and was very well known to the dealership. After all that time I finally got one part that was defective out of the box. As is usually TVF policy, you open it, its yours. Tough luck.

I was also stupid enough to use a local check at the time rather than a credit card as I sort of trusted them having done business there all those years. Heck I never even priced parts elsewhere, my discount structure at TVF due to the volume of sales through my account was better than most other Ford dealers in the area.

Worked out in the end. I had never seen Telecheck go to bat for the customer before, but the events and parts were so self evident that TVF did not have a leg to stand on. Heck, Ford would have accepted the part back as defective and TVF would not have been out any $$.

After that episode Paul and I parted ways. I think I have only been back to thier warehouse once or twice since and VERY careful to inspect anything they hand me before leaving. They are the stocking warehouse for the Houston area. I get most of my Ford parts now from TeamFord in Las Vegas and Motorsport parts from Summit or who ever has a group buy going.

That'd be Steve at Tousley Ford. I've never had a problem with them, probably put a good $6k through their parts department and I've come away satisfied everytime. I recommend them to anyone that's looking for Ford Parts, Ford Racing Parts, or Ford accessories.

Angry Shady Ford Racing Parts Dealers

Thanks for all the input guys. I've already had my bad experience from one such dealer of Ford Performance parts. Thank god I did not order thru him.
If the service is bad before you even place an order I don't even want to imagine what the service would be after you get your parts.

Response from this guy when I told him I would call him back to place the order:

Nobody likes to be second choice when the first choice doesn't pan out. You might want to try for a third choice.

What he did'nt know is that I needed to check the balance on my credit card to see if I could cover the order. I was set on placing the order with him - when I called back several times to place the order he would not answer the phone, then I got the response
from email. All I can say is what a Jack *** !!!

My response to his email:
Are you in business to make money or just being rude?
Thanks for your sarcastic emails. I'll order my Ford parts else where !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ended up ordering from Steve at SVT Performance. Guess he will get all my business from here on out !

Yup .......

Don't understand what the hell the guy was thinking. If they want to stay in business they should start treating their customer with respect and be a little nicer. Besides last time I checked we live in the good old U.S.A and the consumer has a right to shop prices. I am in sales also so you never
turn away any sale regardless how it ended up on your doorstep or phone.
Hell the only thing that ****es me off is when they spin your wheels and never place an order. I even called the guy back / emailed him and told
him I was ready to place the order. Not to mention the **** load of parts
I would have ordered from him now that the car is paid off. His loss !!!!!!

Steve at SVT Performance or Kevin at Clevenger Ford Lincoln Mercury
will get my orders from here on out. Whichever gives me the better price. At least
both these guys know how to treat their customers and thats why I keep going back to them.

I used to deal locally as well until none of the local dealers were no longer FRPP outlets. Now I use eBay or Google and search for the best deal. Now I know about Kevin and it is all good!

Try Joes Myers Ford on 290 just past 8. Talk to Martin in the Parts office. I've had nothing but great and fast service for all of my needs. Martin has even told me that Joe Myers can't match TVF with all the aftermarket Mustang parts, but Martin can get just about anything I need, and very quickly too.
