Changing my spoiler to saleen decklid spoiler

I have a 2007 mustang gt and i recently purchased a saleen rear spoiler for it. I currently have the stock spoiler on my decklid and was wondering if the mounting holes are the same between the 2 spoilers. I have the car stored for the winter and have not had a chance to go out and look for myself. And help would be great

can you post a pic of the saleen piece? Where the screws are. I would bet it will pop right on there tho.

The Saleen Spoiler is a 3 piece design that incorporates a new brake light.
I think you are talking about what sits on top of it which Saleen calls a Wing....?
Without the added 6" that the spoiler and bumper create for the wings grounding it may look pretty huge on a regular back end. A good portion will be hanging over...?

The Saleen wing will require 4 holes on each side. The stock has two.
They are not the same.

Did you get it used? If so and you have no instructions I can try and find mine for you.
I had my stock holes filled before I proceeded. Try and find someone with the same color car who wants a spoiler and doesnt have one. Swap out decklids (dont forget to swap the trunk lock). That would save you some filling in holes & painting bucks.

I couldnt find anyone so I had them filled & repainted then I drilled the 8 new holes.

This will give you an idea of where they will be (pay no attention to the ones in the back...those are for the spoiler)....just the top of the decklid:

The one that i purchased is brand new. It does just on the top of the trunk deck and will need to be painted. As for swapping decklids with anybody i dont have anybody close to me with the same color. Not too many people around me like the vista blue mustang for some reason. Im still not totaly sure that i am going to change my spoiler. I just couldnt pass on buying a saleen wing for $50 because my friend wrecked his stang before he could put it on. If anyone has a pic of the saleen wing on or off the car i would like to see it.

Ok that is what i have. I do see what you are saying about it going to look really big with the stock rear look instead of the saleen look. I dont know maybe i will ditch that spoiler and try to find a different one.

You can mount it forward a few inches to offset it.

Those wings are good for +25 HP easy....

Don't move it too far forward else you'll pull the front wheels at around 70mph!!

I will. I started the car tiday and let it run for a while. I think this weekebd im going to pull the spoiler off and sit the new one up there and see how its going to look on there. Im still not sure that its bot going to look way to big for the car but i guess thats what mods are all about.

WOW! That thing is HUGE! Yep way too big for your car and I'm going to bet it doesn't add any horsepower at all.
