The ones in the back of the hood are the heat extractor vents holes.
If those are not the ones you are talking about let me know which ones.

the grill and rain guard along with the ram air are plastic, as for the small holes, no clue

to get more air through the heat extractors I may cut some holes in the rain guard, right now hot air only comes through the small area for water to drip out of .

either that or pressure release holes it there are hollow spots in the hood you would not want it to bubble up in the heat as the air expands. I don't see how or where water would get in there to need weep holes, but hey they make lots of hoods I would think they know their business.

How do you keep water from getting into the filter with the ram air kit? Does it have channels or drains to keep water from getting in?

the ram air, from what I've see comes in from the side, designed for the factory air box. I have a K&N, think water will drop off the side. Will have to look at it better once its installed.

They are for the rubber strip off the rear of the stock hood to attach too.

Same here I am still waiting. I have been promised my parts back around the first of the week but we will see. I have been hearing that for 2 weeks now.

Addressing the holes from a earlier post , those are for the plastic clips that hold the Hood gasket from the stock hood. This helps seal that area off from the windshield. It is also the screw holes to mount the window washer spray bar that comes with the hood. you don't have to drill holes to mount the stock washer nozzles. It is also the mount holes for the Heat Extractor rain guards.

Doug,

I missed it, are you running a stock air box now? Cervini told me to only order the ram air (if) I was running a stock air box.

I am running a K&N cai, they told me nothing about running a stock air box or a cai. I still think that the extra air coming into the area where the cai is, is better than the small area where air comes into there now. From the design I can see where the ram air will work better with the stock air box. I plan on using it anyways to keep the extra water and dirt off the engine, and to add some more air to the area of the cai. guess it can't hurt.

As for photos of the car before it was wrecked... here are some.

cervini's ram air kit

i dont think the kit will ad a TON of power but from pure logic it has to help a GREAT deal on keeping cold or much cooler air and also MORE air focused on the cone filter...therefore it must help with some HP...right??

driving down the road at 50 mph....cold air blowing in...even if its 2-5 hp...i'll take it

I just feel adding more air to the cone will help, once a CAI is installed the only air seams to come from the bottom, ie: off the road which is not cold but warm and there is not a lot of room for much air to move through there.
What PO's me is that Cervinis does not tell anyone that the ram air option is designed for the stock air box and needs to be cut in . For me to use it I have to redesign the shroud around the CAI to work with the ram air. Called them today said if it was not painted I could send it back told them no where in their ad's or the rep on the phone said anything about it not working with a CAI, they said " You never told us you were runing one" AAAGGGGHHHHH How the F*** was I supposed to know I was to tell them about all my mods...

I'll work with it to make it work.

OK off the soap box now. sorry
