Cervini GT500 Front Splitter?

Anyone have this on their car? I was wondering how it fit and if you had to paint it?

Don't have it, because it DOES require painting.

Are you both talking about the splitter that is on Cervini's website on the Red GT, with the white stripes and the concept GT500 hood? Part # 4339? If so, that doesn't look like it needs to be painted. You just mount the spoiler and leave it go. Anyone else seen on in person?

I like it also and wonder too about it's fitment. If you look at it closely near the front fender, it doesn't look like it conforms with the bumper mold. Might just be shadows though.

Your not the only one who thinks that. I don't think Cervini's made the jig to include the shape of the side bumper. The only thing I don't like about it.

Yes....that's the one I'm talking about. According to Cervini's, it comes sent to you in white gelcoat urethane and requires painting. I believe that all of their urethane products are like that, and require "special" painting instructions.

Also, this can be verifed by clicking on the installation instructions tab and choosing that part number.

Then if thats the case, its not worth it. People would be better off buying the Legend one from GEF Racing. At least that is made in Black Gelcoat, and doesn't need any prep. Just mark the extra holes, and mount it on, and your done.

Exactly. Either that, or make the real GT500 splitter work. Personally, I think the real GT500 is the best looking out of all of them. And for the $40 and a few hours of time, I think it's the best deal too (assuming you have the right tools, fabricating skills, patience). It would take much more than a few hours just to get enough money to buy one of the other splitters.

But, both the Steeda carbon fiber or the Legend splitter are probably good choices too.

I like the way the legend splitter moulds right up to the lower feature line in the bumper and into the small cutout in the lower front bumper. That would be the perfect splitter to do in CF. I would get the steeda one if it didn't look so bulky covering the lower bulge.

Just got my lip back from the shop yesterday...PERFECT FIT...and yes the lip does conform with the bumper on the side...it only looks as if it doesnt in the picture....also for the center section it has 3 fins that raise up and create a 3 fin design to fill up the center gap....GREAT FIT>..GREAT product...couldnt be happier...

I will post some pics later this afternoon

Thanks,
alex

Eh, I'll just get him to shoot one coat of black primer inside and out then a couple coats of satin. I'm hoping it sits tight without tape, so I can easilly unbolt it for service.

Not yet from me, still in the mail. Probably be end of this week coming. The guy who is going to paint it repairs bumpers for the dealer so he has tons of chemicals to strip anything off of it. I would imagine it wouldn't be THAT hard, just need the right chem for the job(like when you clean your car and cant get a spot off and you try the right cleaner and it comes off instantly).
