Cervini Billet Grille Question?

Does the Cervini grille mount the same way the stock grilles does with the tabs that fit into the fasica?

No. You have to drill holes in the fascia.

There's one guy on here that cut out all the honeycomb from his stock grille and attached the Cervini grille to the "frame" of the stock grille.

Maybe he'll chime in.

The uppers and lowers don't need to be drilled, they need to be SCREWED into the plastic.the uppers didn't match up with mine and the lowers definitely don't match up so you have to put in new holes. I do have the Roush fascia but originally it had the stock gt grille before I switched. So I don't know what he's talking about Does he have Cervini's grille or maybe Cervini came out with a new design??Beats me..I just calls it like I sees it!

I sent Cervini an email and asked if the grille mounted like the OEM grille using the tabs and here is what Ben said,

Hello, this is Ben from Cervini's Auto Designs. The grill installs the same way as the factory. We do not sell it in powder coated black.

Thank You
Ben

You can buy the grille directly from www.cervinis.com

Friends don't let friends install billet grills! Not my cup of tea by a long shot. Most of the time the bars look bent and just low quality. But then again it's just my opinion and not my car.

The Cervini grille has a tab on the upper right and left. The tabs have pre cut holes in them..Now,when you put your grille up to the female tab holders on your fascia, the tabs go in the female receptor but they don't click in like the plastic tabs on the stock fog grille. Also to make the billet tabs go all the way in the female tabs on the fascia you will make the grille be too far pushed in and it will look stupid.(even if you could stick them in,how would you get them to hold??) The bottom 2 tabs are on the center bottom..The other 2 female tab receptors are just below the previous female tab receptors I just mentioned..So how does this match up? now you have 2 billet tabs in the center with no place to stick them into. The tabs have holes in them for the screws that CERVINI provides.. I hope this makes sense..please don't hesitate to ask me any questions about this..I took 2 hours installing this to make sure it was perfect........... The guy that emailed you must have just smoked a huge blunt

Strange. I opened the hood, took off the top plastic cover, removed the tabs holding the stock grill, unplugged the fogs, places the new gill on, slid right into the tabs. Placed the hold in screws in, put the top cover back on and i was done. Maybe your facia is diffrent, i have an 06gt stock.

(EDIT) removed picture due to lack of storage space. See page 2 for better pictures.

So you put your screws into the grille tabs as opposed to into the fascia.
That's where it sounds like the difference is.

It does sit back pretty far though. It looks OK, IMO. Couldn't say for sure w/o seeing it in person.

Did your grille have 2 tabs on each side?/Mine had 1 on each side and 2 attached on the lower center. Weird

I like horizontal billet grilles and spoiler deletes. Can't we all just get along?
