Dave, you got a pic of that car? I've heard Street Scene is doing some stuff for the grill... can't wait to see.

Here you go!

How is it that the Street Scene center foglight grill got such rave reviews, and a lot of people don't like mine? Not that I care, I love the grill, but I am just curious. Anyways, keep posting!

-Andy
maybe its the stripes that help unfocus the eye to the center lights on the street scene car...

I like them, I think they pay homage to the GT350s and GT500s. I will be getting them as long as they are a good OEM looking mod.

As far as you lights Andy I like them better than the Street Scene grill because they don't stick way out.

There is going to be three Mineral Gray GTs in my town and I want mine to be a little different. Make people look twice wondering what they just saw. The Center Foglights and a Ducktail spoiler will finish the car off well.

Andy for me personally, the lights are too close together - plus, for some reason having them flush with the grill bugs me.....

But that's just me.

Like I said before, I really dig that grill though!

Yup the Shelby with the correct color combo helps one not to experience having an optical Illusion ! Shelby

Thanks for the pic. I'll definitely keep my eye out for that, although I'm not 100% sure yet I want to mess with my fogs.

I think it looks great!
Had you and, er Larry, been feeling better last weekend you'd have had the opportunity to see that grill up close. The fitment of the grill is great and it really follows the contours of the car well.

On the 6 Cylinder Grille, you will need to add a optional light switch- here is a picture of the switch. You will put it right next to the factory light switch.

Hey man, it's good you like it. That's all that counts.

I don't like the Street Scene version as well, but it may have gotten good reviews because this site's membership seems to not tolerate dissension, even if it's genuine.

Those that don't vote with the herd are seen as agitators...which is really unfortunate cuz some of the cosmetics being applied to the '05 are just plain awful and peeps need to speak up.

There are few genuine opinions in the modifications forums...everybody's too busy patting everybody else on the back over what a great job they did with such and such mod. So if you see somebody posting a negative review, sometimes it's a good thing cuz somebody's paying attention and not affraid to speak up.
Or it could just be that you got some the "I don't like centered fog lights" people early in the thread. Some people don't know how to seperate appreciation for someone's hard work from what they would do personally - it's all about them.

Anyway - even though I wouldn't do it on my car - I think they look cool. You did a great job. I agree that they need some finishing - a bezel around the light would be good. I get the stealth thing - that's cool. But I also think a simple tri-bar pony on the side of the grill would look awesome. With all the black, that little spot of red, white and blue would look very cool.

How is the Street Scene grill made so that the lights don't hit the support part of the body that is right behind the lights? I know that I had to trim a little off of it. Are the Street Scene's just farther out than mine? Thanks.

BTW... any chance on the grille coming in different flavors? I am looking for something in a gloss black and not a honeycomb or lattice style grille. More of a horizontal tube thing. Much easier to keep clean as well.

We did have to reconfigure the grille shell a little- they do move out a little but not enough to notice. Also, the actual hoops are a little thinner so everything clears. The Speed Grille insert will be available in black powder coat, black chrome, brushed aluminum or chrome. Pricing soon!
