Still can't figure out how to get my pictures posted...

Bigger problem still

I had pulled the warps out with a heat-gun, angle iron, clamps, etc.. I installed the grill and after 48 hours the warping has returned almost as bad as it was to begin with. Seems this plastic has Elephant-like memory.. I'm afraid if I get the plastic any hotter it will damage it.
I would like to return this back to Butch/KSR for a good replacement if I knew how..
Has anyone heard how we are supposed to handle this now?
Butch? KSR? You guys listening??

Thank you!!

Hey Randy, see my reply on page 28. I ran into Butch at a local show, as he lives real close to me. You can email him through his ebay store. He will exchange these once the new ones become available.

Hey Jeff, How did you get your fogs to work? Did you have to cut and splice the wire or did you have someone at your dealership make an extension? I'm trying to figure out a way to make it work without cutting but the stock plugs just arent long enough.

I'm working on making one now. (for my Roush fogs) No problem getting the connectors to plug into the back of the fog lights. It's a pretty common plug. I have no idea where to get the other end of the extension that needs to plug into the factory harness.
Anyone know of a source? Roush, SSE, and other aftermarket companies are being stingy with the supplier info.

EDIT:
Here are pics of the connectors we need to make the extensions. I have emailed Delphi to find out if they have them.

OK. I found the part numbers.
Male connector (plugs into the stock wiring harness) is a Delphi # 12084167.
Female connector (plugs into the fog light bulb) is a Delphi # 12059183.
You also need the terminals, seals, and wire, but those won't be any big deal to get now that I have the right connectors.

I just have to find somewhere to buy those exact parts. Waiting for Delphi to call back.

So far no luck. I've contacted several places and haven't heard anything back.

Surely there's someone on TMS who can buy Delphi parts. Either because of their job, or they know someone who can buy them.

I found this via google: http://upfittr.pp.xw.gm.com/publicat...p_Apps_SPP.pdf

Front Exterior Lamp Electrical Connector Part Numbers
Part # Connector
12047938 FORWARD LAMP IN-LINE HARNESS CONNECTOR (F)
12047933 FORWARD LAMP IN-LINE HARNESS CONNECTOR (M)
12059181 LOW BEAM CONNECTOR (F) (ON VEHICLE)
12084166 LOW BEAM CONNECTOR (M)
12059183 HIGH BEAM CONNECTOR (F) (ON VEHICLE)
12084167 HIGH BEAM CONNECTOR (M)
NOTE:
Terminals and secondary locks may have to be ordered separately. Further details regarding the connectors can be obtained from
the Delphi Products Handbooks or by calling 1-800-PACKARD (1-800-722-5273).

Maybe try calling the 1-800 number??

Great find Daniel. They're listed on page 24 and there's a number to call on page 25 to order parts. (800-PACKARD) I'll call them Monday.

If you use this button to post your reply,
it will take you straight to the "Advanced" posting screen.

If you just try to use the "Quick Reply" window, you have to click on the "Go Advanced" button to get to the section where you can "Manage Attachments".

Once you click on that another window will pop up that allows you to pull pictures straight from your computer.
See if the pics I've attached help.

Also you might need to resize the pics first. Just download a pic resizer program and you should be all good.

I use Windows XP & Outlook to resize them for me. Select the pics, right click and select Send to, Mail Recipient. Windows pops up a dialog box that asks if I want to resize. I pick the res I want, continue and then in the new email window that comes up I select to save the attachments and then cancel the email.

As for posting with an attachment, click on the paper clip in the toolbar above the text box area and the Manage Attachments window will open. It doesn't work the same as the old board...you can't insert the attachments inline with text (not that I can see anyway). They all just show up at the bottom of the post.

If you run XP you can also go to the Micro$oft web site, do a search for power toys. Then download the image resizer. Once installed it will allow you to right click on a picture file and a resize image option will appear in the menu. Pretty self explainatory from there.

So where is the best place to order the KSR grill from? I realize they won't be out until August, just wondering who to order from when they come out.

As far as I can tell the original place in this thread, 50resto, will get them in and sell them. I dont know if the butch (ebay guy) is going to sell these or just make good with the ones he sold already. The 50resto place has me still on there list waiting for them to get them in. Maybe see if they will put you on there list.

guys, please use the PM feature for off-topic related discussions. Sure the tips are helpful but this topic is long enough without having to pass by all the off-topic stuff. If you need to know how to do something on the site, please search, or post in the Help section.

Should be here in August. I like these ones better than the street scene. I think those are just to close IMO.
