Ya, I got the same email. Now to figure out how I can rig it up to work with my MMR stuff.

 

Looks like they rigged it up to a blower already too.

Any word yet on the optional hood?

Actually, when I talked to the CDC people at the Ford Nationals at Carlisle, they said that it doesn't shake! Said the engine is so smooth and steady that there is very little movement. Hope one of the beta testers out there tells us this is not true.

 

Just pop your hood. Have someone start your car. It might only move a little when you start your car or rev it, but that is about it. The engine shouldn't really shake that much if FORD did their job properly.

 

Leave the mounting bolts loose - it will shake... and maybe a little rattle too.

well if CDC is correct in their shipping times I should have it mid next week. If I don't get it painted I will install it next weekend

 

Well, you can try it with no paint for a while (which I think looks good after seeing it), and as long as you don't rivet the trim rings together, you can paint it later.

 

Then they are ready for immediate shipment?

Mine was shipped already. UPS tracking says it will be here Tuesday, 8/2. Guess what I'm doing on Saturday???

Will the Shaker be better than the air intakes out there

 

I'd bet it will be Don because mine will be getting painted.

 

Do a search on the shaker. The entire purpose for it is it is a closed system meaning you only get cold air into the air filter.

 

Maybe not... depends on whether or not I mess up the hood during install. haha

What color are you painting it?

 

I'm thinking about painting it to match my stripes. Pearl white and sonic blue. Won't know for sure until it arrives and where all the lines end up. I still have not received a tracking number from them? Must be because I am in Canada or something.
