Scott... your car looks GREAT! Sorry the Roush scoop didn't work for you, bro. But the shaker really does the trick on your car. Now start saving up for wheels.

Thanks. Wheels will have to wait until at least next year... :bang: I just put the hood in the shop to have the stripe painted on and clear the whole hood to hide the stripe. Running out of extra $$$$ for now. Christmas is just around the corner.

I cannot believe the LQQKS I get with this Shaker hoodscoop...
This Mustang turns more heads than a college cheerleader!

I spend as much time answering questions about it while I'm at the track as I do racing it seems. Everyone wants to take a close look and ask about it.
I don't mind.

Beautiful job, Scott!
This is my next mod to "Lucky." Want to have it ready for the Knotts Berry Farm show in L.A. next April...
Are you going to have stripe(s) painted or decals applied? I'm planning on adding a single stripe with perhaps two small pinstripes on either side.

It would be tought to separate the pieces... the air flow uses both the scoop and the plastic housing.

I have to wonder if there is enough room to mount a factory style square air filter in that assembly and then send the air directly to the throttle body... No air box or ducts.
Hard to tell from the pics.

jwgroovin, my car is a 69 Boss tribute as well. I left you a Cardomain comment. The 69 Bosses had the trunlid blackouts too, not just the 70s. I don't think I'm going to paint my trunklid though, although I suppose I might change my mind later.
Regarding this Shaker system...I love the looks, but I would be quite suprised if the way they've routed the air doesn't result in a performance DECREASE. I'm wondering where you heard that there is a performance increase?
IMO, the only way to successfully install a performance-enhancing ram-air system on this car would be to move the Shaker and intake forward at least 6 inches from where it is with the CDC system. Your install looks great though!

Awesome modification to your Mustang. Great job on the shaker Hood Scoop installation.
I hope to install the CDC Shaker scoop in the spring of 06. You have given me confidence to install the Shaker scoop myself.
Are the stripes painted on the hood?
My wife wants to have darker red stripes painted on her Torch Red stang with some gold added to the stripes. It will be interesting.
Display some pictures after you get your new wheels installed.
Regards, Bruce
