Hello everyone. Longtime lurker very excited to jump on board.

23 years ago i had a pristine restored 69 coupe. After kids, marriage, house, etc. i decided to gi ve in to my endless desire and get back in the saddle again.

I picked up a 2007 v6 pony package for a song. Did my reading here and added the frpp true dual, the airaid cai, pypes headers, bama tune and just this weekend the cdc shaker. (all this in a little over a month lol)

My question is this. I made the necessary mods in the cowl to allow free passage of the cai. I also needed to clear room for a pulley and i removed the firewall vertical portion so as not to interfere with the cables in the back. My question is this. Cdc recommends relocating the coil. To me this seems like a rip roaring pita for no benefit. I skipped the step with no apparent issue. Has anyone else did this? Is it ok to do this? thoughts? The only way i would consider paying any attention to that portion of the cowel is if i put in a screaming demon at which point i might just trim that part of the cowl back to show off the coil.
