CDC Shaker Install Question
CDC Shaker Install Question
Well, thanks to all the advice and input from other members on this forum I bit the bullet and attempted the istallation of a shaker hood. It took a few beers to get up the nerve to score the paint and cut the hood. The install went really well except for the connection to the air box. I have a C&L intake and no matter how I line things up it just dosen't work. The connection needs to be low in order to clear the hood. This in turn makes the connection to low for the C&l heat shield. If anybody has any advise or suggestion please chime in.
Thanks..........
Thanks..........
The elbow is the stock CDC piece- all I did was put the round extension onto the end of it, and cut it into the JLT box.
I bought the round piece at our local True Value hardware store- it was in the plumbing section, ironically its a part used for a toilet installation I believe. Regardless, it fit perfectly onto the CDC piping and was just long enough to fit "into" the JLT box after cutting the circular hole for it to slide into.

Here's mine adapted to the K&N AirCharger CAI.

I called CDC today and they said to do exactly what you did. Take out an inch or so and use an additional coupler. It seemed to work for you so I'll give it a try. Thanks for all the input, once again this forum proves to be invaluable.
