CDC Ducktail warning...
I've been looking all over the place for a Tungsten CDC Ducktail Spoiler and decided to contact CDC directly and heres what I got:
After our entire painted spoilers are gone we will be offering unpainted only. Any questions please let me know.
My pre-painted tungsten spoiler does not match the color exactly on the metal bodywork BUT the factory painted tungsten bumpers don't exactly match the color exactly on the metal bodywork either. The issue is paint on metal vs. paint on (ABS?) plastic. The colors just won't ever match. My thought is that they couldn't make it work out economically any more.
Yeah if you look at your car and it is a metallic paint the plastic and metal never look the same. The paint just lays down differently on those two surfaces. I would have a hard time ordering any prepainted part for my car unless it was black. JMO~
I'd rather have it painted by a shop anyways. Any good paint shop will be able to match your cars paint perfectly. When I had my Bumper, window scoops, and front lip painted they all matched the rest of the body (metal & plastic) perfect.
i guess i got lucky and bought black, do not get me wrong i like all of the colors of the mustang, but i always found that black is the easiest color to match, and dang did i have a hard time when i had my Performance Red V6, the previous owner even though it was orange and tried using orange touch-up paint

the paint on mine matches up perfectly. I'm actuallly thinking about keeping it, since my car is getting the trunk shaved up as we speak.
