CDC Ducktail / Others?

Is anyone else having problems with the search function on the forums? My search-fu must be weak...

Anyway, I'm still debating on which spoiler to put on my 07 GT. Can anyone post pics of their CDC spoiler? How many pieces is the spoiler? Would you recommend it to others? And most importantly... does the LED brakelight in the rear window distract from the overall flow of the car in any way?

I love the looks of the CDC spoiler itself, espically in comparason to the SS spoiler. I haven't seen pics of the lighting at night yet, so I have no idea how the 3rd light will look.

Here are a couple of shots of mine and I couldn't be happier. I get lots of compliments on my rear!

Can't go wrong w/ CDC's DT. Don't buy it directly from them, they're not helpful, and you can get it cheaper from their distributors. However, the quality of thier product is top notch. I ordered it painted, great match, and installed it myself with ease. Nothing but compliments from other's on it. One thing I hear quite often that surprises me is "I don't like the new Mustang, but I love yours. It's that spoiler... it just makes the car."

CDC spoiler rocks! I espicially like the clean look in the back and the covering up of the third brake light. Install came out perfect and got the sequential turn signal "special kit" (paid only $30). Enjoy the pics.

If I might....

The look and quality of the 3DCarbon ducktails are also quite awesome. You'd do well to consider those as well. LMP has a good price on the 3 pc....

I HIGHLY recommend the CDC. Fit, finish... perfect.

I've read in another thread that some of the other ducktails have problems with expanding / contracting... but I don't know if that applies to all urethane ducktails.

Here's mine:

Here's mine with the window mounted brake light. I could not decide on the CDC or the SS, so I ordered both of them. It was easy to choose between them once I had them side by side.

Although i think the CDC ducktail is a better material and the fit and finish is second to none. I think the SS ducktail has the right combo of height and look that make it more eye pleasing. Both are nice but imo the cdc only looks good at car level from behind, all other angles it looks to small and conservative.

Light bar doesn't look bad at all. I LOVE the MUSTANG script on the rear though. I may do that myself. Isn't it a pain to wash/wax around all those little letters though?

The CDC ducktail is 3 pieces, a long center and 2 smaller sides. The kit comes with 2 templates, the side one is reversible and used for both sides. I found it to be really easy to install if you take your time and line up the templates. Be prepared to additionally drillout the holes in order to fine tune the placement. I definitely recommend it, IMO it was the best looking ducktail out there. Most of the others are too big for my tastes. I get lots of compliments about this one. BTW, I did not install any 3rd brakelight.

Here's mine. I love it. Has a great factory look. Although I regret getting the pony after seeing those mustang letters on it. FYI If you do get the pony it has an indentation on the ducktail so it doesn't look tacked on.

I noticed my CDC contract a little in the sun. The main trunk piece ended up with about a 1/8" gap in it as I was washing it in the driveway in the mid morning. I kind of freaked, but it actually was kind of nice as it let the rinse water rinse through and take any fine dust with it. After I had it back in the shade, it went back into place.

how does the cdc ducktail attach is it just with tape or are there holes to drill also... and does it cover the factory spoiler holes or do i need to order the car with a spoiler delete?

If you're going with the CDC or Street Scenes, order the car with spoiler delete. They attack to the back of the car, not on top, where the spoiler holes are, so you'd have to fill them in somehow. Unless you want to have both, like the '69 Mach1.

Does anyone have pictures of the 3rd brakelight from inside the car? I've been wondering how that looked when mounted inside.

You have to drill holes, and there's also adhesive. I never did peel off the adhesive, so maybe thats why mine flexes a bit in the heat...

I recently purchased the Cervini's ducktail spoiler and is just finished being painted. I'm just waiting for the paint to harden before I lay my black matte stripes on it. Here's a few pics of it still in the paint shop. I'll post some pics after it gets installed.
