CDC Classic Chin Spoiler
#1
I am interested in purchasing CDC's classic chin spoiler for my 2005 Redfire Mustang GT. I plan on letting a shop paint the spoiler to match Redfire. Which version of the spoiler should I get; unpainted or painted? I am not sure if there is any benefit of one over the other.
I appreciate any input on this matter. Thanks

I think you answered your own question. Order it unpainted and take it to the paintshop. I went with the flat black painted CDC chin Spoiler on my Satin Silver GT but painting the chin to match the car looks really good too.

I also have a 05 Redfire GT and ordered the classic chin in pre-painted black. I think it looks great black, but I have a convertible with a black top so I think that helps to tie it all together. I love the chin though. The fit and finish is outstanding.

If you are planning to get it painted to match the color of your car, definitely get the unpainted one from CDC... It will be easier to paint and cost you less money to have it painted... If you purchase one already painted in a textured black finish, the paint shop will most likely charge you more because they will have to do extra priming and sanding steps to get the surface smooth again before they can paint it...
