Does anyone happen to have a copy of the installation instructions they could either post or email to me. I ordered mine today from Partshopper and would like to read up on the procedure prior to the chin spoiler arriving. First hand suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks Scott. Everyone has said it's very easy but I wanted the instructions ahead of time. Just out of curiosity how much did it cost you to get it painted to match your vehicle? I am considering taking mine to my local Ford dealer.

I painted mine myself flat black. Click on my car domain pics to see my car.

i got mine from parts shopper and had it painted (kinda of flat blackish) it cost an extra 36 bucks...and if you can catch a discount, even less. It is in the garage floor waiting on the car to arrive. MY car is a gloss black clear coat, so flat black will fit.

Todd - if you are going to do the retro Mach 1 thing, go flat black.

Otherwise, have it painted to match the car - you WON'T regret it!

Had mine painted to match car, $75.
One note, though its not much if any lower, it does stick out farther to the front. Speed bumps etc are not an issue, but some drives can be. At work I have to angle going in or out or it will scrape.

For those who care, 2 local Ford Dealerships quoted me $120 to paint the chin spoiler to match my original color.

Update 9/16/05: today I received my chin spoiler via UPS from Partshopper - shipped direct from CDC in Michigan - nice looking piece! Dropped off at the local Ford dealer around noon for paint to match body color. Could possibly pick up tomorrow and install this weekend.

Here in L.A. I was quoted $250 to have mine painted to match I have everything to paint it myself, so I will. Also, the shop told me not to paint it, to leave it as it came, because he said "it's so low to the ground, a paint job on it won't last a month on the road".

If that's the case, I'll paint it again!

Paul

Paul I picked up my chin spoiler after having it painted by the local Ford dealer ($120.00 - $76 labor/$44 materials) and it looks excellent and matches the factory paint perfectly. I'll be taking them my CDC louvered scoops when they arrive later this week.

Got mine back from the painter yesterday and installed it. $60 to paint - one of the benefits of living in rural Va. Really pleased with it!

Post up pics when you're thru, I'd like to see it. I won't have any problems with my match, using Ford paint in black. Black, as long as it's good quality, is just pretty much black

It's amazing the difference in labor rates in various parts of the country. My dyno time here is $200/hour.
