CDC chin spoiler question

Ok, one last question about paint matching...

I'm trying to find out how well the CDC painted (textured black) chin matches the v6/GT500 rocker panels. I'm interested in ordering this combo, but if it's not a close match, I could get the raw chin spoiler and paint it myself. I'd prefer to do as little of my own painting as possible, which is why I ask this. Any pics or first-hand knowledge is greatly appreciated!

I've been wondering the same thing myself. Is the 'raw' version simply the 'flat-black' unpainted look of some molded urethanes?

Does it need painted if you want it to match the unpainted rockers?

Just called Joe @ Mustang Plus, he does not have the textured chin spoilers in stock. He said he has never seem on either. I would think you could paint one with bedliner spray......

the raw unpainted version is sanded and is a white looking peice that has some sanding spots where CDC fixed most of the bumps and other imperfections

My CDC chin spoiler is black plastic. And matches the factory grill dead on. So I'd imagine it'd be the same for the rocker panels.

I called Joe the other day and found out the same thing. That's what's promted this. If they don't match well, I'll go with raw and paint it myself. But I've never seen anyone with this combo. You'd think some of the v6 crowd might have one with their rockers, but I can't seem to find a pic anywhere. I'm gonna try to get this figured out so that I know what to do with the bumper piece too!

the thing is on the V6 the chin spoiler is alot smaller so most of them go with the Fang performance one which is bigger and you have to paint that one reguardless, i also say if you really want one take a look over at S3M with this link, awesome price and service:
http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/CDC110020P

here is the link to the V6 one:
http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/CDC110022
too small compared to the fang one which looks almost like the CDC for the GT in size but a little different design

Yeah, I've had the Stage 3 one bookmarked for quite a while. I know I want the CDC classic, I just don't want to repaint anything if I don't have to.

EXACTLY what I was looking for! Except for the hood, and a different brand of quarter louvres, that is the V6 version of my GT. Thanks for the pics, I think I'll be getting that CDC chin soon!

If you didnt know nicks car from the forums, it looks like a GT with the V6 rockers, and a grill mod.
