That's the factory spoiler on the new Shelby GT500. To let you know, there is a spoiler being made for GEFracing. It is VERY close to the factory one. I am waiting for it to become available. Click on the link below to see the one from GEFracing.

I think they charge an extra $133 for paint. When I "test" purchased it, it had a final cost of $432 - $299 for the ducktail and $133 for paint.

Anyone have a better shot of the ends and how they sit on the rear sides with trunk closed?

Seems to be a large gap.

It has to have a larger gap, as the spoiler is only 1 piece (attached on the trunk) instead of the 3 pieces that most other ducktail spoilers are. If the gap was any less, you would have a problem of the spoiler hitting the rear fenders every time you closed it, and in time probably damage the paint. The gap is fine the way it is. To me, that is the spoiler I want (see my sig below ). I just need to see it on someone's car first.

No, it wouldn't. If you check out how the small spoilered second generation Camaro was done, the gap was much smaller. They had a flatter piece of body to lay it down on, but it worked well, you could barely tell the spacing difference between it and the portion attached to the trunk lid. There was never damage to the paint.

The gap is too large. It's the spoiler I want as well, if they can get a better fit than that. Will have to see it in person as well.

Hey DiamondBlue, I didn't mean to have you get upset with what I mentioned. I was just stating that if the gap was really tight (almost non-exsistant), if someone slammed their trunk lid down hard (and some do) it may mark the sides of the car. Not saying it will, but it might. Don't get me wrong, I would love it if it looked like it was attached to the sides, as I really want one also, but I too will wait to see it on another person's car, before I make my decision. Robert, thanks for posting some more shots of this spoiler.

Not upset, I have experience with this type of setup. I much prefer single piece tails over three piece ones. Thought that CDC one is pretty sweet.

Single piece tails like this usually have a bit of weatherstripping like padding on the parts not connected to the trunk. I've owned and seen many cars with this setup (ok, mostly Camaros, but point holds) have never seen a wear spot on the paint. The foam gets squished up a bit and there's no gap where light can get through like what appears in that first pic and the right side of the bottom pics.

Looks like the ends of the tail need to curve down just slightly more. Or need to be brought in a bit. Of course with the flat rear deck on the 2G Camaro, expansion of the piece is not an issue. With this, it could be, which may be why there's larger gaps.
