Had silver on my Blue 97 GT. Looked good but I don't want silver again. Thought about the single Mach style stripe because of the shaker but don't want that especially if they release a Mach. I have looked into darker blue stripes but didn't like the looks of them either.

 

Even though the ghost looks great, stick with the white stripes. Cant wait to see it finished.

I am noticing how common they are becomming as well though and I have always liked the ghost stripes as well. I think with your car having the SS kit it pulls it a little away from a pure retro theme and therefore recommend the ghost ones.

....and the tie is broken again...for now.

They both would look great on your car... But since I have to choose one or the other, GHOST gets my vote... It's definitely more unique...

I have to say I don't know that I would do stripes at all, but I really like the white ones on that blue.

BUT it's kind of tough to say because seeing it in person is a lot different than seeing it in a picture.

I think the ghost stripes would show more custom and be more unique, so I'd go with the ghost.

White = Classic I see more "ghost" something or other paint jobs than anything else at car shows lately, seems to me they are getting overdone... Clean & Classic wins every time.

 

I've been looking at this site for quite a while and have looked at your car's evolution more than any ohter. I was originally going to copy your look, but I've seen that second picture you posted before and my opinion has changed. When I can afford it I'll go ghost.

A couple of questions:

You've been an advocate for vinyl (I seconded your guru nomination) Would ghost stripes be painted?

What color are those ghost stripes in that picture?

Observations:
I agree with the 12" but why not keep the 1" middle: I think it looks sharper.

Perhaps you want to move on (you've had the blonde, now ready for brunette)?

 

I think whatever you do, make sure you get the same measurement as the pic of the satng with ghost stripes. I think the ones pon you car are too wide IMO. by the way...I voted ghost...and get his light setup too!

 

Ah, to each their own. I think they are too narrow and I am even going wider than the ones I currently have.

 

The ghost stripes would be paint because it is just different levels of Pearl to achive the ghost look you are going for. The reason for the 2" gap is I will be going with the center fog light grille and that is the same gap between the lights.

 

What color are you going to paint the car - Vista?

 

I voted Ghost. The white stripes are great look, but now it's overdone and everyone with a Sonic Blue (or VB) car and stripes has the same thing over and over again. Notice the redundancy here? Go with something different.
