Cal Special Front fascia or not

I have been thinking about this for a long time now. I really like the CS front fascia but i dont know how it would look on the car. I love the lines now and it seems to be just right and everything flows. Dont know if the CS Fascia will be too much. What do yall think?

I say go for it! I think it will complement the hood by lowering the front end and making it a bit more aggressive. With that said though, it might be interesting to look at the Shelby front and CDC chin's as options too, if someone could photoshop each of them for you. Assuming you like those too. I think any of them would look great. I went with the CDC Classic, but have the stock hood, in case you were interested in another reference, but I do think the GT/CS would look good.

I think the GT/CS front would look awesome on your car. Having that front on my car I am biased. But I think it is a nice match for the lower body line that runs along the side and back of the car.
This photo is a similar view to yours so I am hoping you could use it in a photoshop.
BTW: Beautiful car !!!

Just a question for future reference snster.

Where abouts in Texas are you? And who did your engine build? And would you recommend them?

They're the Shelby brake duct/light bezels. Got them from Moss Muscle along with the PIAA fog lights:

Marcello at SilverHorse Racing produced these for us at the request of many CS owners. It looks completely OEM. The man is a genius.

i agree with the lines. but the flow of the car is a big thing. all of the ponys with the CS fascia that i have seen either have the stock hood or the fake hood scoop. and Gracias!!

first off your car looks great.. what color are the stripes?? love it. Currently i am in Iraq but I am from Ft Hood in Killeen. Murillo Motorsports down in San Antonio. They did a great job and good customer service. And i would def recommend them. also do you have the hide-a-way front license plate?

Good question - I have no idea. Might be worth posting as a new topic. I know quite a few folks on here have the same setup, some might have HIDs as well.

Thank you for your service!

The stripes are flat or matte black stripes. In the photo it was at night and the flourescent lights in the parking garage play tricks on the finish of the stripes. Which is what I was going for anyway. I installed them myself in an afternoon. There's even a how-to here from Taco Bill on how to do it and BSM's instructions are good too. The only hard parts were the front bumper and the ducktail spoiler.

Yes I do have a hide away front plate. I took the plate off a while back for some photos and got tagged the next day by a state trooper. So I found this alternative. The CS front fascia is 1.5" lower (or extends 1.5" lower) than the stock GT. Plus I've got the FRPP springs so it's a full 3" lower. I honestly haven't had any trouble. I just take it easy on driveways. It mounts pretty easily to the plastic down there on the CS bumper.

Looks like STL-GT has the same front hide-away plate.

Here is my quick 5 minute attempt at 'chopping them. Gary might recognize the reflection in the GT/CS fascia.....found a pic of his ride taken at almost the same angle. Thanks Gary!

GT/CS:

CDC Classic:

Hopefully this helps you visualize, even though it's a pretty quick 'chop so it's not very clean.
