Would like to know what most of you are using to paint your brake calipers, Duplicolor or the G2 kit.

And what section are you painting? The whole caliper or just the top cap? (see picture - polished area is the top cap I'm referring to)

I've asked a couple of members offline, but would like to get some feedback from the forum.

I used the duplicolor kit and was happy with it. However, I did notice today that there was some chipping. I painted the whole caliper. I want to say I did it sometime around September and it looked good for a while but I will have to repaint now that it chipped. I believe there was a thread on this a while back and there were a lot of different opinions as to which kit was best.

Consider a two part paint like www.eastwood.com. the hardner should help minamize chipping.

I used the Duplicolor kit... put at least 4 coats of paint on each caliper and have not experienced any noticable chipping. And yes I painted the whole caliper...

Also check www.expresspaint.com for custom colors. I emailed them and they said their paint was good for caliper duty. I was thinking about getting some redfire for my calipers, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I painted mine with the Dupli-Color kit too. Here's what I posted earlier:

So far no chipping. B)

I used G2. I was pretty happy with it. I also have the decals from Xenon Mods. I have ponies in the front and "Mustang" in the rear

I used the dupli-color kit. The brush that comes with it is garbage so I used a better brush for the smaller areas. Worked great. 3 coats, no chips yet after 25,000 km.
