And Awesome's back on the road!
Ok, as promised and without further ado, pics!
Awesome before 11-2015.
In this picture you have a mostly standard 2006 Mustang GT, but with a GT500 - GT/CS bumper in the back, 2010 GT500 'Vert wheels, Avenger grille overlay, 1" lower Ford P springs, and a satin black all around the bottom trim. Oh, yeah, and the GTA mufflers I lucked into.
Then the accident happened, hit in the front, so then changes took place, and here we are now!
Awesome's final form.
Just a slight bit meaner angle.
Front Left...
Full on Frontal.
Lovin' this look.
Powered by Ford indeed.
The additions for this go 'round are a GT/CS front bumper, Shelby complete grille, Cervini Cobra R hood, Powered by Ford badges, and a V6/KR lay down spoiler. Oh, and new matte black inside headlamps, 'cause the old ones were... nasty.
I kept the old grille, spoiler, and headlamps. The headlamps will likely be refurbed for swapping if I desire. Spoiler is... I dunno. It's perfectly fine HP pedestal spoiler, but they're worth nuthin' right?
The old grille I have a special project in mind. Much later for that.
But I am a happy camper, and Awesome is beautiful.
Thanks for lookin'!

Looking good! As I was looking through the pictures I was thinking something looked different about the headlights. They look "deeper", if that makes sense. But everything looks...Awesome.

Thanks e'ryone!
re: miles. Just ticked over on 129,000* miles. Somehow still on the original clutch too, which is somewhat surprising, given that I don't baby her. I am a firm believer in driving a car the way it's meant to... full dang throttle.
I do worry about whether mentioning the clutch will cause it to say "ok, now I'm done", but so far, so good. Still holdin'.
And I am *seriously* diggin' the laydown spoiler. So much better to see out the back, and so far, none of that nasty glare from the sun. And I am liking the look too, of course. That'd be weird if I didn't at this point. Heh.

* - Edit, the next day: Sorry, wrong. It's 128,000. Still.

just stopped back in the paint bubble thread, didnt see pics yet, so looked up other posts- ah, I see said the blind man
your care looks awesome, I must agree with everyone else.
very tastefully done. I would just *have* to add SHR louvers just because I love that look, but that's a extremely clean/pretty car... well named.
The hood was a great choice, subtle yet cant go unnoticed, Ford really shoulda had some 'lines' in the hood- this is a huge improvement over the flat factory hood. without stripes it just looks so clean...
well done sir

Muchas gracias... I've thought about the side window louvers, but... eh, it's not my thing. Like 'em on others, though.
I have been contemplating the rear louvers in full aluminum, but... nah. I like her just like she is... except you can't see it, but she needs new tint all 'round. That'll be 'next' right soon.
I've ordered the correct removable front license plate bracket but it's gonna be a few days before it shows up. I just couldn't poke holes in that pretty bumper and the front license seems so not right on there anyway.
I'm concerned that the thing's too easy to remove, though... But I looked at the flip down version (and yes, the automated one was intriguing, true) but she's already low, and I don't wanna scrape the plate itself. So I got the one with the pull tab on it. Which with my paranoid self means that if I go to a movie or even the store, I'm pulling it and stuffing it in the trunk
I still don't really know why it's needed in the front. "So we can see it if we're going the other way!" Right.

Like the way it turned out. Props. I see you haven't added the lower panel with the CS/GT fascia. Lots of daylight in the lower panel area. SHR makes a great fill in panel for the center that cleans up the open look. They are sort of spendy for the size, the fitment makes it worth it. You'll never lose it with a bump or anything.
Just thought I'd throw that out there. I didn't have one in the beginning, but after a short while, it became obvious that it needed something in that area. Again, nice look you got going there.

Eh. I looked at the SHR and to be honest, if it doesn't match the outers in being solid, then I really don't care for the open honeycomb look at all.
What I'd really like is a lower grille to match the upper one, except all black. They don't seem to make one (that I've seen!) for that area/for the GT/CS lower bits. Maybe I'll be enlightened...
As far as the outer panels, I've been pondering modifying a second set to house some sort of fog lamps in there, and cutting out the bumper behind it to fit them, but... that seems 'not enough outward' to be doing that.
I'm still ponderating. I just learned how to wire weld things, so maybe I'll just make a lower grille...
All that said... I like the open hole. Not much different than the GT's bumper hole, excepting the divider down the middle. Maybe I'll just put something to divide it, just to be weird. I have an extra GT's lower panel...
Nah.

Wouldn't blocking off the lower area raise the temps of the transmission and any other cooler that you might have? I put one on mine and lit looks like an exact match. Sort of like the upper grille has with holes in it and the mesh seems to match the original mesh look. JMO of course. Anyway you look at it, nicely done.
