Anyone who purchased a GT/CS Rear Fascia

OK, no need to alarm. I have an 07 GT and I am looking to pick up a GT/CS rear fascia. I can remove the stocker and install myself so all I would need is prep and paint, what have some of you guys paid for prep and paint and what would be a reasonable price?

I paid $355.00 (as a ford accesory part) at the ford dealer. I'm sure it can be had for a better price...I was just lazy.

I haven't gotten mine prepped and painted yet, but a friend of mine works at a body shop and said he will do it for less than any other shop would. I would guess around 350 for prep and spraying would sound about right for one bumper.

I got a GT500 rear cover for $290 last month. Almost the same as the GT/CS rear except for the textured lower portion. I’m also curious to find out how much shops are charging to paint it. My guess is $350 minimum for prep and paint.

Where? I was planning on painting mine like the GT500 since I'm keeping the V6 rockers

I picked it up from Gentilini Ford in Woodbine, NJ. No shipping so I saved some bucks. I would order one from the local dealer that gives you the best price. Shipping could cost $150. The box is huge, even though it's weighs nothing.

Try here: http://www.troyfordaccessories.com/default.asp They have reasonable shipping rates and 10% off right now. This is where I got my bumpers when they had a free shipping special going. I got both my bumpers for $754 shipped.

I used the accessory part # 6r3z6320049ba, but I got a GT500 cover with with the part # 7r3z-17k835-aaptm on it.

Since I'm not doing a conversion, anyone want to trade their GT/CS cover?

I bought my car from them and they quoted me $355 for that same part!!

From what I under stand, the GT/CS rear and GT500 rear are the same exact bumper only with different part numbers and prices to go along with it. I painted my rear in the style of GT/CS even though I did a GT500 conversion. If you check the GT/CS on the dealers lots you'll see that the lower rear portion is textured (like the GT500) even though it's painted. You are going to end up trading for the same part but with a different part number. You already have the part you need
