I haven't seen a ducktail for the '05 yet that I remotely like. I like the stock spoiler more than anything I have seen in the aftermarket.

If you want to remove the spoiler (and not eliminate the holes/repaint), try to find some rubber grommets to fill in the voids. I don't know how many there are, or how big, but I've seen it done before and it isn't that bad. (It isn't perfect having these nibs, but it matters hole placement, and how finicky you want to be).

I'm certain the aftermarket ducktails aren't going to be applied with double sided tape... they're going to be bolt on, so you'll be drilling new holes anyways.... what do you do with the new holes when you go back to the original spoiler? Order w/o if you plan on a ducktail. If you already have the car and you want a ducktail... fill the holes, or buy a new deck lid.

Here is a spoiler that I hadn't seen before. It is by WesTrenz and I kind of like it. The one on the left is the one I like.

It's pretty obvious a few aftermarket companies will make a ducktail that has the holes in the same spot as the original spoiler..

I am shocked no one has brought this up ( at least not on all the threads I have read on the subject) ..

CDC's spoiler will not fit in the factory bolt holes. You would need to get them welded in. Already contacted CDC on this one

It wouldn't look bad if it was painted black.

Here's my California Special. I'd love for Ford to make a new one.

I've had my '05 GT for about 1 month now, 3500 miles, Bassani Axle-Back Kit, NO problems what so-ever.

Can't wait for a ducktail.
