Any un-lowered mustangs w/ 19" or 20"
Any un-lowered mustangs w/ 19" or 20"
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has pictures of un-lowered 05+ Mustangs with aftermarket 19" or 20" wheels. If you do, post them up, or link them up. I'm thinking it would look kinda stupid, but I can't afford to lower it, the roads are just too bad for that + snow. I've found a couple, but mostly the un-lowered stangs has 18s.
thanks!!

I have 19s with a taller than stock tire (245/45/19) to better fill out the wheel well. The added advantage is that you don't get any "ricerish" or "bling" look and it actually raises the car about 1/4 inch for bump clearance.
IMO, the car doesn't need to be lowered for looks. The front wheel is set perfectly in the middle of the well, so all that is needed is a bigger tire. Most people tend to go for lowering rather than a bigger tire because they want the added performance that lowering springs brings. If you lower it, the gap will be much bigger on the front and back but smaller on the top and it won't look like it belongs.
The back could stand to be lowered about 1 inch, as the gap on top of the wheel is bigger than front or back. However, one of the reasons for this is because the back has much more "weight variance", so it needs to be higher incase you carry something really heavy. With a full tank of gas, the car sits just about perfect. When you get light on fuel, you notice a bit of a wheel gap difference.

Not exactly what you asked for, but here's my stock '07 with 22's on it last fall. I have higher res pics, but not any from other angles, and the wheels are long gone.
I dont even want to think about how that must ride as a daily dirver. My 20's are rough enough.
