Another GT500 rear bumper (ty -KC)

Just got my 06 back from paint today. Here are a few pics of the new GT500 bumper cover. It was overcast and rainy when I snapped the pics, I must say it looks even better in person, as black is not easy to capture in a photo. I still need to get under the car and loosen the drivers side exhuast to center the tip in the opening.

Big thanks go to KC (05StangKC). Do not hesitate to call KC, he is the real deal!

Are you planning on changing out the rockers to black ones? I think that would look sweet.

I'm thinking about it.
I have seen sites were I can get take-off rocker panels for like 67.00 in black.

What do you guys think?

Right now.... the car is brand new, less than 300 miles.
I think I am going to focus my attention
(and bucks) on engine mods.

Hey Barry, Looks great! Your install is the first I've seen painted the Gt500 paint scheme. Did they just paint the upper areas silver and leave the lower part matt black the way it was when Ford shipped it to you, or did you repaint any of the lower areas black? Again looks great and IMO getting the V6 rocker panels (black ones) would look even better.

Thanks for sharing photos of the finished product. I'm considering putting dual exhaust on my wife's 06 V6 and repacing the rear bumper cover with the GT500 painted just the way yours is painted. As you may or may not know, I put this bumper on my 05 GT already painted the GT/CS scheme, which I think looks best, considering my GT is black all over.

My lower portion ended up painted.
But I wanted it left matte black unpainted.

I had called Ford SVT to verify this is how the GT500 is done.
However, the painter misunderstood me and painted it black.
Yeah, I was cranked, but have decided to let it go.

The pebble grain portion did have a few scuffs and scratch marks from shipping.
The paint covered that up. I may spray the pebble grain with Dull-Coat to bring it back to matte.

I will post better pics after I get a sunny day to photo.

I vote for the V6 rockers.
My car was backed into a few months ago and when I got a new bumper, I had them paint the lower lip black to match my rockers. (swapped out stock for V6 about a year ago) I wish the GT500 parts would've been out already because that rea bumper would look so much better.
