now its time to decide on my final mod for the year. i'm torn between adding the cdc classic chin spoiler or lowering the car. i dont wanna do both cuz i'll probably tear the heck out of the front end. right now i'm leaning towards the chin spoiler. i'm not a huge fan of lowering the car but at the same i hate the wheel gap. what to do , what to do.........

That's one sweet ride you've got there, buddy. ![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
I think you're wise to weigh the pros and cons of lowering vs adding a chin spoiler. I think a lot of guys fail to plan for the inevitable... steep driveways, road debris, poor road transitions, etc. One obstacle could easily reduce a chin spoiler on a lowered car to so much shredded plastic!
I agree, don't do both; you should pursue one or the other. Personally, I'm okay with the wheel gap. Engineers design things for a reason. If they thought the chassis should be dragging the ground, they would have engineered it that way! Besides, a chin spoiler may actually help give the illusion that the car has been lowered.
Car is sharp as is, btw.

I got the chin spoiler. The mustang is a muscle car.I had 2 lowered cars in the past before my stang. Yes it looked good but after a while I really got sick of the speed bumps, uneven pavement, and driveways. I would always cringe before I would go over uneven pavement and bumps in the road.I still do with my mustang..post tramatic stress disorder! Wheel gap on a muscle car doesn't look bad to me. It was done that way for a reason..when you see a mustang driving past you or cruising on the highway the wheel gap is the same front to back cause the rear squats when it's rolling. I have 18x9 bullits coming in..I think it will make it look more menacing with a wider stance out to the fender well.I love the stock bullits.I just wish they were wider and I would of been happy keeping them.

The 3D Carbon looks perfect. IMO they got the dimensions just right.
I like the idea of the GEF one piece spoiler using the original bolt
holes but it seems too large when you compare it to the 3D Carbon.
Your car looks great.

Why not just lower the back and get the chin spoiler. Car will be even, better handling (from what I've read) and you won't have to worry about the front end.

I'm thinking of ordering the duck tail spoiler (the 3d CARBON one) and was wondering an estimate on how much it would be to paint and then if i would isntall it myself or not. SO what i am asking is
-how much to paint
-is it easy to install myself? (if no, how much would it be)\
Thanks all
