Man, after a lot of work between a very difficult 15 hour a day work week, I have all the mods done in time for the Mustang show tomorrow. Here is what was done.

-mirrors painted
-side louvers painted and installed
-engine cover painted, decals put on and installed
-got custom sub box made and installed the subs and amp myself

Here is the fruit of my labour.

PS, the wires you see behind the amp were not hooked up yet

Having trouble uploading pics....stand by.

Looks good Richard, does your subs sit flush on the spare tire well, or do you have a box that sits down in it.

Looks Good

The subs are flush with the floor of the trunk. The custom box utilized the spare tire compartment. Hope I never get a flat

Well, there were 5 05 mustangs at the show and the bone stock convertible took first place, there was no second place. I don't think the club thought there would be that many 05's there. Needless to say I was a bit dissapointed, but I still had a great time and managed to get a sunburn. There were a lot of nice Mustangs there!

Well subs look nice. I would have some covers for those, if you plan on ever putting anything in the trunk. Secondly since you are doing some custom stuff here, doesnt make much sense to hide the amp. I personally would have made some nice kind of display area for it on the sides or back so that you are getting the full eye candy. People want to see all the electronics, and goodies. So I would install or build a nice rack for the amp or amps, as you should have more than one at some point in time. Most show systems, will have several, crossovers, amp per sub, amp for driving seperate speakers etc. I do like your idea of putting the box in the tire well, just some suggestions for you to make your system flashier.

Glad you had a good time, that's the most important thing. Too bad the judges didn't figure in points for the wrench work.
Looks good though!

I thought of showing off the amp, but I am not into all that "flash". Sometimes less is more, if you know what I mean. If I decide to make the amp visible, I will add two more and do the whole system up. Now all I want is 19" wheels and a Vortech!!!

I think a sleeper (factory looking, but more than meets the eye) is way cool.

Love your plenum cover man!! Looks good, I like the sub install as well. Putting any type of grills on those subs since they're on the floor? Nice work

I may put some grills in there, but I don't use my trunk much at all. I will have to stuff my hockey bag and sticks in there next winter, so I will put some kind of grill on later.
